Rainy season where I live so humidity has been a constant issue. Lots of defoliation going on.
Sadly had to cull the Bubblegum for several reasons, humidity one of them. She was stretching like crazy, trying to take over the tent, but almost no trichomes or smell. Don't want to jeopardize the other three for some mediocre bud. Not salty in the least...I understand when growing from seed you will get different phenos and they won't all be winners. The other three plants in the tent are going to be fire so it's all good!
Not giving up on Fastbuds Bubblegum just yet because I grew one outdoors that, while small, was super frosty and tasted like big league chew! Wouldn't mind a 100-200g of it, which is why I tried this one in my tent. I'll use the extra space in the tent to get a head start on some seedlings for next run.
After removing the 4th plant, the RH has been about 10% or more lower in the tent. Runs about 5-10% higher in the tent than in the lung room. Keeping it nicely in the mid to high 50s now.
Last but not least, the 3 gallon pots might be turning out to be on the small side for hand-watering at this point in flowering. I am feeding them 2x per day, but they are screaming out for 3. Getting a little nutrient burn from it, but not too bad at this point.
So in summary, a lot happening and looking forward to the coming weeks as these girls fatten up!
She is healthy and fattening up nicely. Had some trouble with too much dryback due to hand watering the 3 gallon fabric pots. Twice per day doesn't cut it. The other plants in the tent showed worse signs of suffering, but this one took it like a champ.
Decided enough was enough and finally set up a DIY automatic irrigation system. All I can say is, it turned out to be very easy/simple and I should have done this a long time ago!
The Banana Purple Punch seems to be ripening up fastest in the tent. Looking forward to the coming weeks!
Getting close to the finish line. Probably take her to about day 80. Had a some problems in the tent with too much DLI and some nutrient lockout. This plant handled it better than the others. Turned light down, flushed with just A/B nutes, no silica or calmag. Too much calmag combined with too high DLI might have been what did it. Seeing some new green growth on them so crisis adverted for now.
Serious battle with humidity going on here. Been raining for days with no end in sight. Had to start a staggered harvest in order to save the crop as it has become difficult to keep the RH below even 65%.
After thinning the herd a bit the humidity has dropped into the mid to upper 50s, so crisis adverted for now!
She has fattened up quite a bit and smelling deliciously of berries, floral, earthy, and slightly grape medicine.
Another week or so and the rest will come down. Can't wait to try some!
Nice relaxing indica. This is the 3rd BPP I have grown and by far the stretchiest. Very nice smoke. Looking forward to the coming weeks as the buds cure.
