A little anecdote: Sensi seeds pulled this weird stunt. For the market start in Germany, they outsourced shipping to some subsidiary. This sensi clone company then took wayyy to many orders, to the point where they could not deliver for up to 4 months. All while keeping the money and shutting down all support channels. And of course, keeping the shop running, taking even more orders without delivery or even info on order status. Basically a giant scam. Most still received their seeds after months, but of course found alternative seed suppliers in the meantime. Long story short, I got these left-over seeds. It is likely too late for another outdoor run but will give it a try anyways. Mold problems anticipated. Hence, the plan is to use some HST and LST combination to generate more but smaller buds. Worst case, I can improve my bonsai skills. Germination: 3d in warm water. Transfer to small pot with potting compost. Added some mycorrhiza powder. Sprouts came to light after 2 days in soil, stretching fast but looking very crinkly still.

They went into large pots now. But one of the pineapples is already giving up. Brown and dry leaves and weak stem; some root problem. Possibly did not like the mycorrhizae. The other one is doing okay. Blueberry going strong and healthy. I cut the shoot apex on both. Rainy season media with increased drainage: 60% soil (generic hardware store stuff) 25% vermiculite 10% sand 5% Lecca pellets on the bottom (~2cm)

Blueberry: Looks like I missed the apical meristem when topping. Maybe another top cut soon. Pineapple 1: Looking good:) Pineapple 2: She was not recovering so I removed her. Interestingly, crushing the two tiny leaves already produced a distinct pineapple smell.

Both are doing well. Bound down all new shoots to the same height level. Next time, I need to remember not to plant them right in the middle. A bit more space for LST would be nice.

Weather conditions are pretty bad. Temps droped to 10°C at day time, high humidity, all cloudy. Blueberry: Leaves are going yellow inside out. Not sure what it means, but there is a lot to be unhappy about. I expected her to be the more resistens/outdoor friendly one. Maybe not. Pineapple: For a tropical fruit she is doing well in shitty weather;)

I had to travel spontaneously and couldn't take care of them. They made it through well, but grew a bit wild. Not too bad, but shoots vary a lot in length now. Bound everything down again. The pineapple started flowering. Gives me hope she might finish before weather gets real ugly. Slowly adding flowering fertilizer at 1/5th of recommended dose.

It is still quite cold, especially at night. They are not gaining much weight, almost no new leaves. Still looking healthy. I noticed liquid fertilizer is a problem. Cannot water them frequently in this weather. Increased concentration to 5ml/L (recommended dose). Solid fertilizer next autumn. The Pineapple start smelling very mildly, mostly when moving it. Generic weed smell, no pineapple aroma yet.

Took them inside for 5d. The higher temperatures resulted in some height gains. Still, the blueberry refuses to go into flower. Pineapple is smelling amazing - fruity, citrus, and a bit acidic spiciness. My soil mix has very strong drainage but with these temperatures, cannot water+fertilize more than once a week. Hence added some grounded coffee as extra, non-liquid nitrogen source.

Pineapple: Doing very well. Smells amazing. Buds are small, dense and frosty. Blueberry: Turned out to have three main branches. New leaves are quite yellow and flowering only barely started.

Pineapple: She starts to go frosty. Smell is getting stronger. Very interesting aroma; not exactly pineapple but definetly unusual and interesting. Blueberry: Finally flowering! 4 weeks behind the pineapple. Looking healthy otherwise, but the cold definetly slows her down.

Not much change since last week. I expect 4 more weeks for the pineapple. Blueberry might not finish outdoors at this pace. Increased the fertilizer concentration slightly.

Pineapple is getting pretty, purple leaves from the cold. Smell got less acidic/fruity and more skunky and strong. Will keep her another 2-3 weeks i think. Blueberry still far behind but healthy. Pistils starting to turn amber but buds are tiny popcorn flakes. I do enjoy the looks of the three equally tall main branches. Smell is minimal.

It's getting frosty on the buds and outside. Couple days with 0°C already. Trying to keep them inside for a few hours a day if possible but smell is increasing. Pineapple: She looked amazing with those deep purple leaves. Unfortuately found a couple mildew spots on leaves that got to close and had to trim the canopy. She is super sticky and the smell... absolutely amazing! It really smells like pineapple. Cannot believe it! Still pretty healty. Hope she can survive a bit longer. Have people harvested in frosty december before? Blueberry: Will follow.

We are in full-on winter now and it was time to chop. She is not finished but also didn't gain any volume in the last 2 weeks. The Pineapple Cush Cake, in direct comparison, did not care about the cold. However, I am still happy with both. Did not expect I could harvest mid december without mold problems. From what I read online about both strains, it seemed the Blueberry would be more resilient and better suited for outdoor in general. Turns out its the other way around. I will try to run both strains in spring again, see who is doing better next year. The LST/HST combo resulting in 3 main colars turned out well. Until then, happy holidays! Time to enjoy this years fruits:)

Now: The start of the show! What an amazing plant. Humboldt did it once more. Not only did she take the harsh conditions with ease, but also became one of the most stunning plants I have ever seen. The colors, the absolutely unique aroma, the high, how well she took the LST/HST - just all around great! I'll write some more after curing.
