Start feeding 2x per day from day 25. raise ppm from 650 to 750. The Gorilla Punch is the smallest in the tent, but also the most manageable because of this.
The other plants in the tent are all also fastbuds strains. They are: Bubblegum, Strawberry Gorilla, and Banana Purple Punch.
Started bloom nutrients. She is starting to smell really good! To me she smells like old school Jack Herer, but with a lemon and hash flavor mixed in. Not at all what I expected and I am absolutely delighted with her so far! Very hearty plant and great size for my setup.
Preflower stretch coming to an end it looks like. She is starting to frost up and smells amazing. Blown away by this plant so far. Very easy plant to work with. Will definitely run more of these!
Rainy season where I live so humidity has been a constant issue. Lots of defoliation going on.
Sadly had to cull one of the plants in the tent for several reasons, humidity one of them. She was stretching like crazy, trying to take over the tent, but almost no trichomes or smell. Don't want to jeopardize the other three for some mediocre bud. Not salty in the least...I understand when growing from seed you will get different phenos and they won't all be winners. The other three plants in the tent are going to be fire so it's all good!
After removing the 4th plant, the RH has been about 10% or more lower in the tent. Runs about 5-10% higher in the tent than in the lung room. Keeping it nicely in the mid to high 50s now.
Last but not least, the 3 gallon pots might be turning out to be on the small side for hand-watering at this point in flowering. I am feeding them 2x per day, but they are screaming out for 3. Getting a little nutrient burn from it, but not too bad at this point.
So in summary, a lot happening and looking forward to the coming weeks!
Had some trouble with the pots drying out too much between feedings. Seeing some signs of lockout/nutrient burn. Installed some automatic drippers and now plants are back on track (hopefully!). Should have done it a long time ago!
Despite the issues, she is starting to bulk nicely and smells amazing! I will be keeping an eye on the burnt leaves and might have to chop a few of the top buds a little early if the fried/dead parts get too close or into the buds. Will only be a few and they are holding out thus far. With the automatic irrigation she seems to have come around and doesn't seem to be getting any worse. Finish line is in sight, just need to hold out a few more weeks!
Feeling optimistic about the next run, now that the automatic watering system is up and running! To anyone who is procrastinating this like I was, it is easier than I thought and so worth it!
Burned the shit out of her with too much DLI and too much calmag. After some scrambling, back on track, but yield will be less and the top buds will have quality affected. Lower buds look pretty much OK. Damage seems to have stabilized and seeing some new green growth. Oh well, live and learn. It's just me smoking this stuff and the next seedlings are already over a week old, so not the end of the world. Much of the flower will still be good, just less of it than could have been. Smells amazing! Very lemony/jack herer type smell. Have another gorilla punch going for the next run, hopefully can avoid these mistakes!
Major battle with humidity, raining for days here, so in order to save the crop I started a staggered harvest. Will give the remaining branches a few more days.
Sugar leaves on top buds are fried, but flowers themselves are fine. Yield is not what it could have been, but still looking good! Nice and frosty all around!
Smell is lemon, incense, hash. Very dense buds with not much trimming required. Looking forward harvesting the rest and then smoking some!!
This one was vigorous from the start, but also the most light/nutrient sensitive in the tent. Taste is strong hashy citrus with a little gas. The high is quite strong and feels like sativa leaning hybrid. Can't really think of any other way to describe it than slightly aggressive, not really relaxing, to me at least. Seems like as soon as I put the bong down I am jumping up do get something done!
Pressed some, the flower rosin tastes like fermented oranges. Very solid sativa leaning hybrid. Energetic high. Lots of flavor. Growing another one already!
