As usual, the seed germinated perfectly – a big shout-out to Royal Queen Seeds for their consistency. Apart from a few Royal Skywalkers, practically all seeds I’ve used from them have germinated successfully. My usual germination method is placing the seed between damp paper towels, but this time, I decided to go for direct germination in a water bath. It worked well, and after just 2 days, the seed had cracked and was ready to be planted.
For the growing medium, I'm using BioBizz Lightmix, which has always worked well for me. Since I’ve got other plants in my tent, I can’t hang the light as low as I’d like, and I’m also skipping the plant risers for now. As a result, the light is a few centimeters higher than I’d normally prefer, but everything seems to be going smoothly so far.
To maintain consistent temperatures, I’m running an 18/6 light cycle during the night. At this early stage of growth, I’m keeping it simple with the nutrients, just a light touch of Fishmix and RootJuice. I don’t want to overdo it with the fertilizers too soon.
The journey of this green ice princess has just begun, and I’m excited to see when and how it will come to an end!💪
