The germination took quite long for me as an inpatient first time grower^^ The glass of water was sitting on my fridge covered by a cardboard box. It was between 22 & 26 C the whole time. After 3 days all seeds were open but the root no longer then 3mm. I decided to plant them in the pot anyways, leaving them covered with a plastic cup for humidity. 6 days after the first contact with water, they all sprouted :)
In the first week I didn’t do anything but water with a bit of tap water and watch the plant grow. I removed the plastic cup around 2 days after sprout. My tap water has a little higher than recommended ph but I won’t bother correcting the ph because I want this to be a low maintenance and low cost grow :)
This week I watered the first time with a generic organic nutrient 3/1/4. the plants are growing well imo. I will start LST next week. I also bought and gave some nematodes to the plants and all my other houseplants to get rid of some fungus gnats and it worked well. At this moment I have one 36W Grow LED to help the plants when it’s cloudy and after sunset. I will get another 36W lamp in the next few days since they will benefit from more light as they get bigger :)
This week I started low stress training my plants. At one point I overwatered them I think because the leafs were droopy a while after watering. The next day it was already fine again tho. I think my pots have good drainage so the water ended up in the under pot. The plants are all growing very similarly and looking good imo :)
Two of the plants are growing big and strong by the looks and are Preflowering. Plant 1 didn’t grow as much this week, does not have white hairs and two of the lower leaves started to get yellow. Maybe this is a nitrogen deficiency since I didn’t feed in 10 days? The others are looking fine tho. I fed now when I took the pictures. Does someone of you have a clue why this is happening?
This week I discovered brown spots and yellowing, mostly between the leaf veins, of the downer leafs on all three plants. After some research I think it’s a magnesium deficiency since I haven’t given any calmag and the tap water in my city has very little magnesium. I went to my local grow shop and bought calmag, Bio grow and bio bloom all from Biobizz. I have been giving double dosage of calmag and I hope this helps. The plants are growing really well all in all :)
Im writing this in week 7 but this was a good week with flowers developing quickly. All of the plants have some brown spots probably still because of calmag deficiency. I’m adding calmag since about two weeks now.
This week went well, I cut some lower leaves and very tiny branches wich wouldn’t develop big flowers at all. Also the plants really smell like skunk now. I don’t know this genetics would stink like this haha but I assume this is normal? The plants are looking good tho :)
This week my plants got light burnt, because I left my lights on while the sun was out for three days in a row. It’s quite an intense burn but I cut off the leaves that were effected the most. I heard plants can survive this without any major problems so from now on I’ll just be aware to turn off the light when it’s sunny. Also some calmag deficiency’s are still showing for some reason. Probably too high or low ph but that’s okay. The plants smell really goooood now little less like skunk and more like tangerines.
