Chief_Leaf I put the two autos and the SK#1 fem in water a few days ago. The regular seeds i wet yesterday in coconut water. I rinsed the regular seeds today with water and added water with some coconut water. I put the two F1 and the fem seeds from Royal Queen Seeds in soil today, all 3 seeds had root tips showing. Apollo F1 has the longest root tip when i put in soil, the two autos F1 definitely grew roots from seed quicker than the feminized special Kush #1. I have been getting my setup, now with proper lighting and heat sensitive controller and timer controls it feels set for a good grow. I set the light to 16/8, heating on at 18 Celsius and off at 23 C. The forbidden fruit looks small for week 5 I think... I guess cause I have only just got the SF600 light, before it was under a grocruiser with a MAC #1 (not shown here) in flower. The Mac #1 I have is in week 3/4 of flower, currently under the grocruiser (60W?) - I will post another diary for that grow, Both my veg room and flower room (with MAc#1) are in my caravan, so have good light exposure during the day from windows and skylight. I am curious to see how the two F1 autos do, especially as I put them together in the same bag to save space. The bags are 8 Gallon bags, so I figured an auto needs only 2 gallons about. I did not fill the bags up all the way. I grew SK#1 once before in the Mediterranean mountains - was lovely, smelt great and beautiful big purple buds. excited to see how it does indoors here. The diamante citron auto was a surprise! I sowed this seed weeks and weeks ago and it never surfaced, I guess I lost it in the soil here and it popped up the other day underneath my MAC#1 in flower! So, I put her here under the new SF600 veg light room - was really exctied for this strain so let's see! Unless its another strain I lost?

Chief_Leaf Something is wrong with my water pH I guess. I can't test because my LR44 batteries are flat. I guess I need to add a few drops of lime/vinegar to the rain water/mains water I use. I vary. the mains water I use is plasticky. Am also adding small amounts of coconut water to water for plants, along with liquid seaweed (few drops). Oh and in one bottle of water for the plants I put lentils and egg shells and banana peels to sit in there.

Chief_Leaf Growth has been a bit slower for the F1s I think. Overall I'm anxious about this leaf problem - tips burning and crisping. Not sure why yet. Otherwise, disappointed that only 1 out of 4 of KC regular seeds successfully sprouted. Weirdly the brains escape looked really good when I put the seed in soil, but she never surfaced :/ The diamante citron auto also has a weak stem, not sure why, perhaps not enough air flow in here. I don't leave the fan on all the time, I usually turn if off at night. EDIT: I have come across a fantastic article by The Rev from Skunk magazine titled "deficiency or overdose?". Here, I think I have discovered the issue with my plants. it is too high ppm in my water. My plants are exhibiting exactly what the Rev describes here : "This has a longer-term effect that sets in over a month or so. You can spot this pretty easy because the potassium deficient leaves will turn into crispy/burnt edged leaves quickly. ". Please find original article here https://skunkglobalmarijuanaculture.com/cannabis-world-news/letters-to-rev-deficiency-or-overdose/ . So, I am thinking that the rainwater should be good, I wont use the pipe/mains water anymore, and I wont add any more liquid organic feed - perhaps I was over doing it even with the tiny additions I made. I might try also boiling the water and leacing to stand a bit, recommended by fellow grower here on the diary. Thanks to all!
