I start by soaking the seeds in a cup of water for 24 hours. After that, I transfer them to a paper towel inside a lunchbox, misting them lightly until the roots reach about 1 inch in length. In this case, the roots grew faster than expected and were around 2 inches long when I planted them.
The husk of the seed didn't drop off for a while and was doing damage so I had to remove it manually... then the leaves stayed stuck together for a while, thought they would drop but didn't so i had to split them manually. Rough Start but should be fine
During my last few grows, I didn't water much at this stage, which caused the plants to stay small. For this grow, I plan to change that by watering every 2 or 3 days, though not always with added nutrients. Stayed a bit smaller than the other one because of earlier issues but looks healthy
I liked the wooden bar setup I used last time, but I almost forgot about it and ended up installing them midway through week 2. It wasn't a big issue, but I did have to do some bending.
Growing a bit slower than the other one but still looking healthy. Started a little bit of LST by bending the main stem and its top part as seen in the images
increased the LST during this week because she's growing very strong now. Increased the amount of base nutrients to a maximum of 4ml/l and will start increasing the watering over this week.
A lot more LST is done during this week trying to balance out both plans and give space
Changed the line up of nutrients for this weeks since flowering has officially started. This strain is growing particularly well and healthy and I only needed to defoliate the lowest leaves
Noticed Yellowing of bottom leaves, might be lack of nutrients, or nutrient lock. Hopefully its the former one.
I increased the clean water watering from 3L to 5L and the nutrient feed after that from 4L to 5L as well.
Saw a bit of discoloration on some leaves during this week. I assumed it was due to lack of nitrogen, because the plants needed more nutrient filled water
Started giving overdrive during this week because the plants are bulking up nicely. Had to remove a lot of dieing leaves because I had some construction work going on in the background and I had to turn off my extractor for a couple of hours a day, so the heat was shooting up like crazy
This week, the situation continued as before. Due to ongoing construction work, I had to turn off the extractor, which caused a significant increase in temperature inside the tent. As a result, the leaves started yellowing and dying during this period. To mitigate the issue, I adjusted my watering schedule to water just before turning off the extractor, which provided some relief.
Buds are getting heavy this week so I had to tie some stalks up because I was afraid they were going to break off. The pistils have turned orange for the most part and the terpenes are turning milky white
It's been a great week! The trichomes are turning milky, and the leaves are starting to yellow gradually. I considered flushing but decided to hold off for now—I don't want to harvest too early.
I also added the scrog this week, albeit a bit late. Still, with so many branches tipping over, any extra support is definitely welcome.
Looking Great, focusing on trichome production. Often look through the magnifying glass to see which stage they are at. They still look like they have at least a week left. Reduced some nutrients from the feeding but I ended up bringing them back by the end of the week.
Harvested by end of this week
Had a lot of fun growing this strain, These gorilla glue strains are super resistant and grow very big. I really enjoyed the smell and taste of this particular strain.
