I put them to germinate on 03/09, and on 05/09 they were already in the pots. They don't have a defined breed, the weed was good, let's try. I'll use 5 seeds, but 10 of 11 germinated.
12/12 from seed
2 on organic pots
3 on inert pots
They are growing well. I hope most of them are female, if not I will kill them and put feminized highcloudz with them. One is already there and in another diary. Small spots on two leaves of a fertilized plant, but nothing major or scary. The fertilized plants are much larger than those in living soil without additional fertilization. I might start applying some fertilization to the organic ones. At least when it starts flowering, it looks like it will need it, for now the difference is absurd.
On the 19th, two seem to have shown their sex, male, beginning to have balls. Waiting a few days to confirm
Day 21 One organical showed the pistils, confirmed female. The other two, iam waiting to really know their sex.
Next week going to start flowering fertilizer.
1/5 female confirmed
At 22 days old, It's the beginning of the fourth week and flowering! I will start applying fertilizers for flowering.
2 organical female (one will be forever organical, the other will be fertilized)
1 inert female
1 inert probably male - confirmed male - male dead
1 inert probably female?? 26 days, still not possible to know
Beginning of the second week of flowering. One has not yet shown its sex, it appears to be indica, but it is full of pre-flowers.
The largest is 47 cm, the smallest around 30.
09/10 - Now it's 58 cm, this sativa doesn't stop growing. The indica has not shown sex yet despite having pre-flowers everywhere. It doesn't seem stuck to me, as it continues branching, but the height hasn't changed almost anything.
10/10 She reached 65 cm. The others are 50 cm. The last plant that was missing to show the sex, came very late, it had all branched before showing the sex, unlike the others, and unfortunately it was a male, already dead. She just looked indica, but was a long sativa male.
Of the 5, 3 females (2 in organic soil, 1 being fertilized and the other in inert soil) 2 males dead
11/10 - It is 72 cm. It is colossal, I had to tie it up at the top, as I didn't have enough space to lift the bulb and it was starting to burn some of the tips of the leaves. It's better to have mild, temporary stress than heat and burning stress, which is worse in the long term. The others grow well, gaining weight, without problems with height.
Okay, let's see how this flowering week goes.
16/10 the one that is tied, it is definitely over 80 cm, the others should be on average around 65-70 cm
17/10 -
almost 90 cm, 80 cm and 76 cm, all tied up
They are all very big and tied up
started with 5, 2 was male
24/10 - I killed an organic female, I was fertilizing her, but it wasn't a good idea, development was slow. I could have stopped fertilizing and left it alive, but the plants grew too much, and so I opened up more space and light for the other better developed ones (one inert, and one organic, in addition to highcloudz in another diary)
26/10 - last day of the fourth week. In the end, this crop will be one example of fertilized and one of organic. Let's see the difference, the undefined sativa strain is the same.
only the fertilized one is alive. I killed the organic one, it took a long time to grow, and it was growing non-stop. without enough time/space/light/patience for her.
The live fertilized one is not only bigger, it is more mature and stopped growing earlier, in addition to having better buds.
only her and highcloudz here
It's getting fatter and resinous more and more, I'm hoping for great progress in these last few weeks. However, it is very humid around here with regular rain, fear of mold, a branch underneath had botrytis in the flower, it was a small and poorly developed branch, I ripped it off. I hope the plant is strong enough to not have a proliferation or something terrible. Otherwise I'll have to kill her first and hope for the best.
Learning a lot from this cultivation after almost 10 years. The next one will be much better.
It is gaining weight well, some leaves are yellowing. Another week or 2 of flora, maybe 3. The resin starts to increase, and the smell is mango, very strong, with a slightly skunk background.
Long flowering sativa, maybe a small percentage indica, but compared to the hybrid I'm growing (highcloudz), the difference in flowering speed and branching is notable, a natural sativa.
Beginning of the ninth week of flowering. A pure sativa needs at least 10 weeks or 12 weeks of flora, I think I'll keep it at 10, it may be a little early, but it's yellowing a lot in some branches, and the lower branches seem to already have the buds ready and well formed. Only 3.7l (1 gallon), they are fine for this small pot.
Delicious smell, stinky mango. Resin ok, increasing more. Several small buds glued together with resin, but nothing extravagant.
The buds are fat, making the branches lose strength, they have considerable resin. It smells like tropical mango with a stench in the background. It is a long-lasting sativa but I stopped providing magnesium and other nutrients before so as not to affect the flavor after harvesting, it could last a few more weeks, but I believe it will be harvested soon. If it gets weak, I will do some extraction. I stoeppd feeding at all now. For a pot of just 3.7 liters (1 gal), it is very well evolved and grown.
End of cultivation of a landrace, probably Manga Rosa, due to the smell and flavor, in addition to other characteristics (sativa, long-flowering, style of flowers).
3.7 liters (1 gallon) = 58 grams / 2.04 oz (flowers without branches)
Using 120w lm301h-evo, together with another plant in the same environment.
Last week just water, two small flushes, to clean the soil a little, but nothing excessive. 7 days drying, dark, well-ventilated environment, without direct wind. And now cure for at least a month, trying a little each week.
I killed her when she was 93 days old, with 12 hours of light from the beginning, it seemed automatic. Because she is almost or completely sativa, perhaps another 2 weeks could be good for her, but I wanted a cultivation period of around 3 months, which was cool, but I believe that for a 90-day cultivation period, it is better to use some hybrid or indicates, as they develop faster. Sativas are aggressive in their expansionism and slow in flowering. Leaves and branches saved for later extraction, probably ice hash.
