Stressed her out in her 4th week of bloom: changed tent and forget to enable the timer.
72 hours!! 72 bloody hours of light @ 80% !!
That was 8 weeks ago.. look at her still go now.
No clue which week of bloom she thinks she's in, but she's 4 months old.
And as far as smell goes, her terpines are only giving off citrus... so far.
Third attempt at growing this strain (and my first cannabis grow ever), so take my opinion with an extremely small grain of salt
Germination and vegetation of three seeds went flawlessly. All three plants handled LST, HST, cropping and mainlining very well as they usually fully recovered within three days.
Plants one and two didn't survive my vacation. Plant three barely survived it but recuperated nicely. She faced an other problem down the line.. You know those electrical timers you can set to regulate your grow lights? Yeah, don't forget to enable that after it's set
She didn't enjoy 72 hours of SM301H diodes in the fourth week of bloom.
Attempt 4 is on the way. I'll give a proper review of the strain when this run is finished.
Nearly heartbreaking: Found a seed in one of the clippings from week 13 😔 To prevent further contamination, I cut her down.
As mentioned in the previous weeks she had been stressed to her limits. Mainly purposefully through LST and HST. Partially unintentional due to that one time I forgot to enable the timer for the lights, and she had to endure 72 hours of consistent light the 4th week of bloom. I'm going to assume, that was the culprit for her becoming a hermaphrodite.
I searched through all the rest of the buds (if you can even call them that at this stage) and didn't find any other seeds or nanners.
Cutting her down this early definitely comes with its drawbacks and learning curves. For one, she didn't get flushed and she didn't properly reach the end of her life cycle. There are many nutrients that will need to be broken down still and I hope the drying and curing processes will be able to take care of that. For now, she's hanging up in a drying tent and will get a look over every 3 days. Secondly, the buds look far from fully developed and matured. I'm not sure if these can or should be smoked. Though, a lot of the trichomes do appear somewhat cloudy already.
On the cutting method, normal garden shears. I would have loved to have hung the entire plant up, roots and all but decided against it. Call me paranoid but my interpretation of the German Law is, the legal amount of 50g dried cannabis includes every part of the plant that is dried, not just the consumable parts. Hence just the stems got cut, weighed (wet 97.3g) and hung. The rest was taken to our local sanitation depot.
I'll get back with an update after the drying process.
