All plants came on, however the one just looked plain unhappy the whole time. So, I decided at the end of the week to expedite the first big change, upgrade to a 5 liter pot, and probably around week 8 I will upgrade again to 14L. The reason I do it this way is because last grow I noticed all of the roots were congregating at the bottom of the big pot I was using for the whole grow. I think 30L!! This creates problems with watering and so on, so upgrading in stages is much better. It also is the time when I really super power the nutrition the plants are getting. I have an organic powder fertilizer with bird shit and minerals and so on. Compo Bio with Guano. I just add a little of this. The main mix is Batmix by Plagron, and for extra super duper powers I add fresh worm castings from my worm bin which I feed all manner of kitchen scraps and fallen leaves I collected. So I break this and mix it evenly into the fertilizer. I know Plagron comes pre-fertilized, but in my mind, nothing beats freshly harvested castings packed with vibrant life, powered by banana peels. My kind of fertilizer. I did notice when I was transferring to the new pot, that the roots were starting to become bound, and a lot of pests flew off the unhappy plants roots when I was moving it, I was happy to give it a good new home. Also the roots were more soggy than I thought, so I'm leaving them dry out until I water tonight, after that I will leave them properly dry out again for a few days, and will feed them worm casting compost tea from some of the remaining castings. I also added some clay pebbles to the bottom of the new pots to collect the moisture.
And I know it's outside the week scope, but on Day 22, I woke up, and these plants are already looking far happier. I'm going to add these photos now.
