~ GERMiNATION ~
Strain: Auto Melonade Runtz - by Dutch Passion - (Melody - for simplicity)
Number of seeds: 1
Location: Indoor
Time: 03 August 2024 -
Lamp: MIGRO Aray 4
Power (Watts): 240 W
Area: 100 x 200 cm
The seed was sown directly into the substrate (in small half-liter pot) and moistened daily with a small amount of clean water (about 20 ml).
Sprouted on day six.
~ 1st week ~
Right after germination, she was planted into the target 20-liter breathable pot.
I re-used the substrate from my previous crop (a mixture of soil and coco in equal proportions) adding a little Light-Mix by BioBizz.
As a fertilizer i will use reliable HESI kit.
I also have plenty of natural compost, nettle manure and a PLAGRON set from my previous grow, so probably i will use them sometimes too.
The seedling is lit 20/4 with MIGRO LED-lamp, set to 20% power for now.
~ 2nd week ~
The plant is watered twice a week (about one liter).
She developed second deck of true leaves.
At present, the humidity in the room is about 70% and the temperature - around 22°C.
At the end of the week i increased the power of lamps to 40 %.
Plant is doing fine.
~ 3rd week ~
Third week passed without any interruptions.
The plant have developed a third layer of leaves and side shoots are emerging.
The humidity in the room is currently about 60% and the temperature - around 22°C.
The plant is fine.
~ 4th week ~
Another (fourth) week went smoothly.
The plant have already developed five levels of leaves, and the side branches are developing nicely too.
At the end of the week i also increased power of lamps to 60 %.
The humidity in the room is still about 60% and the temperature - around 22°C.
The plant is doing well.
~ 5th week ~
At the beginning of this week, first signs of flowering appears - hair on top and nodes.
The plant is fine. I increased power of lamps to 80 %.
~ 6th week ~
Flowering is in full swing - dense hairs form on the main trunk and on long side branches.
I increased the power of lamps to 100% and changed nutrients to flowering phase.
The plant looks healthy.
~ 8th week ~
Melody bloom profusely - more and more long-haired flowers appear on long branches.
Drops of resin are visible to the naked eye - nice view.
She has a lot of appetite now, so i water her every second day, one liter.
Looks healthy.
~ 9th week ~
Melody have stopped growing taller, but is developing wider and sideways.
Some flower hairs started turning red, and new flowers keep coming.
The larger leaves began to turn yellow with the addition of purple - a sign of autumn.
The plant is beautiful and healthy.
~ 10th week ~
Melody is almost ripe.
The buds drastically gained mass, and the half of hair are red, but new flowers still keep coming.
The larger leaves fell off and i picked off the yellowed ones.
The plant is a bit over-fertilized unfortunately, but looks fine.
I stopped fertilizing her, giving only clear water.
Harvest is coming - next week maybe (?)
~ 11th week ~
Melody is ready for harvest.
The buds are huge and heavy, so much so that the stems bend under their weight.
Most of the hairs have turned red, although new flowers are still appearing.
All flowers, even the lowest located ones, are covered with a thick layer of shiny resin.
The entire main trunk, along with the side stems and the underside of the leaves, are purple.
Yesterday i preliminary manicured her to make the harvest easier.
Since the day before yesterday i haven't watered her at all, so that she has as little moisture as possible when harvesting.
Although i could give her another week to live, but i have the feeling that the plant is calling to me "Cut me down, please cut me down now!".
So i'll fulfill her request - harvest tomorrow.
