My first photoperiod grow for quite a while. I'm a bit nervous about it 😂
So I germed a single seed using a method I found after a lengthy trawl of the web. It is a natural sponge, cut in half, which is wetted and wrung out. You then place the seed in this, and place it in an airtight container. Keep this at a nice ~25c in the dark and it will germinate. I found better results for myself than dropping in water or paper towel method.
Day 21 - she got repotted into her 38 Litre airpot. She is not as close to the lights as I'd like, but saying that I wouldn't mind her to stretch a little bit.
Nice growth of 11cm this week. She seems to be doing very well. 💪 I've not done a thing to her apart from feed/water and turn her pot 180 degrees through the week.
Week 6 in veg done and dusted! She grew 12cm!
Day 42 - I clipped off about 6 huge fan leaves to allow light to hit her lower branches.
This is her last day of 20/4 lighting. It will be 12/12 from now on. 💪
Day 56 - She grew 6cm this week. Growing well. Not much for me to do.
Day 56 - Tent configuration changed: 4x more CREE CXB3590's have been added and 4x blurple LED things removed. Lights now consist of 8x CXB3590's & 1x 1000W HID with flower bulb.
Day 70 - She grew 4cm this week. Her flowers are not as developed as any of her tent mates, looks like she's going to take her time flowering. That's ok. I'm happy to wait 😀
This girl sure is taking her time. I hope that's because of the high Sativa content 😍
Because of this the buds are starting to grow long and pointed, I'm going to try the backbuilding technique to see if I can get these to fatten up. I snipped half a dozen places and left the rest.
Also I've noticed her leaves are very dark green and very very shiny, glossy. I cannot remember growing another plant with leaves like this!
First of all, thanks to James for reaching out to me a while back and sending these seeds. I would have liked a bigger yield but it is what it is. More learning and data in the memory bank 😉 😎
looking great there. good luck. watching with interest. just took mine out to dry but wasnt impressed with her bud production at all. hoping was my fault and not the strain.Have clones for a full 7 pot crop ready to go so praying you can ace them and show me the way and restore my faith in them. good kuck
Sadly my exp of thisnstrain is identicle with the size to yield numbers. The original.mother grew 1.5m but only just over 3oz and now the clone of her that survived to harvest only gave me just over 2oz and she was quadlined and grew for about 4 months or more. beautiful smoke and some heavy stone but crap yielders. put me right off Rqs as seen every harvest of it here the same yet their claims of huge yields if you get the mythical #3 pheno never seem to happen. We live and learn. Seems we share a few strain grows mate.
i had similar issue with hreat veg growth and thick stalks but the buds never really developed in sizeworthy dimensions at all. Running clones now to see if it was just a bad feeding issue for me. Not expected from all the hype it got. fingers crossed for you.
@Ganjagrandaddy, Wow it's great you've took clones! I normally grow autos so that's not something I've ever done. I hope you get your problems figured out, it sounds like you're going about it the right way. 💪
