Seeds were germinated in the Cannnakan. Seeds were soaked in 90% distilled water/10% peroxide. They were put in at 7:30pm on Friday night. By Saturday morning the seeds had popped, but left them in there. On Saturday night (24h later) I dumped out most of the water only leaving about 15% solution in the Kan. I replaced the lid and left seeds to steam on the heating pad.
On Sunday morning the seeds were ready to plant. I hydrated the coco in the grow bags and placed the seeds in and misted with water only. I placed a clear solo cup to help with heat and humidity.
Plant #1 emerged from the coco on 10/15 pm. She is looking healthy and ready to grow. 10/15/2024 her leaves have separated and she has already gotten bigger. This is a good sign of things to come.
Plant #2 emerged from the coco on 10/16 am. She is looking good. She is just coming up, but her leaves have already seperated.
Both girls are growing well. They got water only for the first 3 days of life above the coco. After three days, I removed the solo cup covering them.
Day 3 they got about 8oz of strive/water mixed at 50/50.
Day 4 they took the nutrients well and grew a little over night. Since they did so well I gave them the same feeding again 50/50 but about 16 ounces each.
Day 5 they are doing great and have grown to about an inch tall now. Girls seem to be loving life so far.
They are at about 250 par right now. I will have to get them up higher soon.
Just so that most of you know, I don't have to check ppm or solution temps when I feed. I do have to check ph though.
Girls are getting bigger. #2 seems to have some problems with her leaves. They are thick and brittle with brown tips. It is almost like she doesn't like the nutrients strength and too much light. She seems to be a little more finicky than her sister. Both are doing well though. We will just have to see how they do.
The girls have blown up in the past week or so now. #2 is still showing a slight deficiency, but her new growth looks good. I am just going to see how she keeps growing. #1 is happy and healthy at this time. They are still growing strong and can't wait to see how they turn out.
