Topped some of the bigger leaves that block light, also some of the tinyest leaves thatwill die anyway Plant grew big in a pinch The roots are now reaching the bottom of the tank Changed the tank for an opaque one because the old one had algae I don t have a single male yayy ! The plant is growing so big it s nearly out of control Added a charcoal filter which 100% negates any smell

Yeah. The CCT (red vs blue etc) of light does have a measurable impact but it's tiny. I have half my room under 2900K and half under 3300k. This will not turn a lanky plant bushy nor a bushy plant lanky. It will have tiny effects on each and everything between. I still can't tell any difference. I position plants based on height and the 2" slant in my platform. The lanky plants come out lanky no matter what light is above them. Just because there is a statistically significant difference doesn't mean it is a big difference. DLI is far more important to the outcome than cool ( more blue) vs warm (more red) light. Most growlights are white light.. even the 2900k is technically 'white' light. It's better than blurple or red only for sure.

You can grow under any light, its all about final results. I grew under white quantum boards , all was okeish. But when same manufacturer added reds diods from Osram to Samsung whites, harvest quality and quantity increased. Full spectrum and lights with veg and flower modes gives you better results, but you still can jazz out your situation, especially if you provide enough of PAR.

You can use that light, but you will have way better results when using an LED with infrared and ultraviolet light spectrums. The blue light of the HID is very good for vegetative stage and for bushy, compact plant growth, but in flower it is better to have more colours in the red light spectrum for optimal flower production. Having blue light in flower can cause your plants to become too bushy / compact as well. Good luck!
