End of week 8, day 56 update: Tangie has topped out at 38 inches and gone into full flower production. She is beautiful dark green, which seems to be normal for Tangie'matic based on observation of other diaries, highlighted by the whitest pistils. I am excited to see her with big white nuggs everywhere.... heh, heh.
She is getting 96 oz of RO water pH'd to anywhere btwn. 6.2 and 7.0 with 4 ml CalMag+ with approx. 1 tsp Epsom salt and 1/2 tsp brown sugar per gallon. I have been giving all the coco based plants this formula since week 2 and the biggest change has been the amount I give them. I may do 96 ounces for a couple days, then 64 ounces for a day or let them dry out for a day or two. It all depends on the weight of the pot and how much they had grown that day. Now that everyone is flowering I will go by weight and observed growth of flowers.
This grow has been super easy, except a hic-up or two from Tangie, from the beginning. Make RO water, add a few supplements, check pH (usually comes in at 6.8), feed plants.
I haven't had to worry about any deficiencies, no leaf tip burn... nothing. It's almost scary... just waiting for something.
On to week 9.... I'm thinking she will be a 12 weeker at least, since she got a late start on flowering. Thanks for tuning in and leave a "like" or comment. Peace
@Smowkabowl, awesome! Definitely a strain I’m going to try in a future grow. Can’t wait to see ur final harvest report and enjoy that delicious, citrusy tangematic smoke.
@Momgrowsthechronic, thank you for the kindness. I have been so busy the last few days I almost forgot about Tangie, except for the daily burping sessions of course. Your message reminded me that it has been 2 weeks since I put her in the jar. So, I took her out and weighed her again (hardly any change from the original dry weight) and sampled her with a water pipe and a glass bowl, after all it wouldn't be right if I didn't Smowkabowl! And I must say, Tangie is by far my favorite grow in every which way. I'll go more into it in my harvest report. To answer your question though, she has an undeniable citrus smell, which I love. But the best part is the fresh orange peel smell on your fingers after loading a bowl. Stay tuned and turned on. Peace
@@MGrow, Right! She turned into a beauty. A far cry from week 1. You should check out my Green Crack diary, heck, West Coast OG and the Hempy buckets too, they're about to explode. Peace
OMG OMG OMG...you are absolutely going to LOVE tangie'matic. Mine matured months ago. I allowed her to cure for 3 weeks (continuously burping) b4 the sample. 😱 But in a good way.
I hope she heaps you a bunch of citrusy, crystally-filled flowers!
