10/24/2024. I soaked the seed in warm distilled water on a seed heat mat for about 10 hours (once the seeds sunk I waited about 2 hours before taking them out of the water). While the seeds soaked I filled the water reservoir of the seed starter tray with just under 1/2 inch of distilled water and placed the soil tray with dry coco coir over it, then put the humidity dome over and placed it on the heat mat to moisten the soil without soaking it. After 10 hours I placed the seeds into coco coir the seed starter tray with grow lights in the humidity dome and a water reservoir and placed the tray on the seed heat mat.
10/26/2024. The first two popped up out of the soil.
10/27/2024 Two more popped up out of the soil (see images)
Upped the pH Perfect Sensi Grow Part A & B from 4 ml to 8 ml. No other changes other than the weather getting cooler so the ambient temp is a bit lower and so the tent is a bit cooler. The plants are not bothered by the drop, the average has been 71 but it has fluctuated 70-75 ish.
The ladies continue to grow fairly uniformly with the exception of the runt, (it was the last to sprout by about 2 days). One was getting wobbly with s-shaped growth. The plants were also too close to the lights, more like 15-18 inches from the top, I just lifted it up to 24", but the plants were growing so fast that the stems seemed weak. I mounded soil up around to create support. This is why the growth was not changed this week, they likely grew about an inch but it was lost with the mounding.
Three are growing crazy! I changed the nutrients adding more pH Perfect sensi grow A & B from 8ml to 16ml and removed voodo juice
Week 4 no change to nutrient schedule, but plants are drinking faster as they grow so need to refill the reservoir a bit more. I had to photograph the plants on the evening before the day I would have usually take the pic's. When I came home a day later the plants grew A LOT!! They are about 8 inches now and very fluffy. I may have to clean up the branches on the bottom to avoid any issues.
So a day into week 4 the largest plant started to look wilted and sick. I check the soil for the moisture content and it was totally fine (felt moist about a inch down) so I know the wicks are working. It had been needing support for the last 2 weeks as well, I thought it was just top heavy but the more research I did I discovered it could be root rot. Two of the other plants where also showing signs of root rot, with wilting leaves and browning edges as well as one other one was falling over.
I knew if there is root rot it could spread because I rotate the plants so they get hit by the fan at different angles as well as the light, and this means putting all the different pots on all the different reservoirs. I got new soil, FoxFarm Happy Frog Potting Soil, emptied the pots and tossed the old soil. Washed the pots and the reservoirs, put new wicks in the reservoirs, and then did the scary job of transplanting the plants. I don't think they will survive it has been a few hours and they don't look good. 😫
I am now starting new seedlings.............
The root rot saga continues.....I repotted three of the four, one was to far gone. Removed and replaced all the soil with new FoxFarm Happy Frog Potting Soil after washing the fabric pots. And because root rot, I started new seeds. finger crossed a few will survive the trauma. I also brought the nutrients to first week nut schedule.
I got busy and forgot about my little seedlings and didn't get them out of the start dome in time and one was seriously not happy with the moisture and really rotted the leaves ends one more than others. The other three looked salvageable so I transferred them to the grow tent pots. Two have made it and one was just too far squishy, damn starter dome humidity. The Lone survivor of the root rot escapade has some issues after last week. She had been looking great and then just started to wilt like she was not getting any liquid. I watered her from above and a few hours later she looked great (for her state) again. So I have been watering her as needed while she recovers, honestly, I probably could have saved another plant if I had caught the wilt in time. Trying to run a business and grow simultaneously sometimes clashes and unfortunately, my green friends are paying for it this time. This lady is looking to be in a strong recovery and hopefully, her new friends seem to be doing okay only 7 weeks behind, lol.
**Four days later*** The remaining two seedlings grew amazing new leaves but had stretched too much, and this morning, I checked on them, and they had toppled over. I have backfilled the pots. Remember always leave room (an inch or two for the pots' tops) to do this, as Sativa's and Sativa-leaning hybrids, heck, any seedling, like to stretch and backfilling is the fix, but you need room to do this. I added the new photos, seedlings more new growth and higher soil.
this is week 9 for the older plant, which is finally doing great. She has Survived 😁 The other guys are in week 2 of veg and also doing great. I have all three plants on week two feeding schedule and next week (or when my premade nut mixture runs out) and will be doing the 3 week next and get all these girls closer to flower
Everyone is growing strong now, the plant that survived the root rot is having some extreme growth and getting very bushy. It seems to be a response to surviving the root rot. Like at the nodes, it is sprouting more nodes and then more all from the same area. The lady is ensuring she will survive. The nutrients changed upping the Sensi Grow to 16 and removed voodoo juice.
The big one was so dense and the rapid growth of all the plants created a lot of moisture that was raising the RH to 88%. I first tried to leave the tent door flap open up top to increase airflow and turned off the humidifier I have running in the room to try and adjust the moisture. This helped but only brought the RH down to 73%. So I pruned her a bit to increase air flow. It worked and brought the RH in the tent to 66% and then down to 58%-66% but I still have to leave the tent flap open up top.

A day later the big plant is doing well after the pruning, as you can see in the photos. Wish I had taken photos of her before I pruned her she was super bushy, but showing signs of issue due to the dampness.
I took some of the trimmings and started clones, I have three. I have not had a lot of luck with getting clones to root. I think I have figured it all out and these will stick. If so I will have a crop right behind this one to tend to. Kinda excited.
Let's see what the next week does this has been a educational grow fo' sure. LOL
This is the last week of veg. I know the little ones are a bit tiny but with the long flower time for this strain (9-10 weeks) I figure they'll catch up enough. I will
flip them once the water reservoir needs to be filled again probably a couple days, these girls are thirsty. They are all doing good and growing like crazy!
The ladies are flipped to flower!! And it is getting crowded in the tent, I did some pruning on the lower branches that don't get a lot of light and were showing signs bad air flow and were wilting a bit. Wish i was able to find my scrog net this strain is perfect for it, but alas it has vanished and I am not getting another one right now so I will continue to prune the lower branches to keep air flowing and wait for buds!
Steady growth and a lot of over crowding, lol. Still cannot find my SCROG net 😕 and I am still having issues with the RH being over 60% most days. I have been leaving the tent door open during the 12 hour light period. It is helping to keep it around the 60% threshold but close it up and it jumps to above 70%. I have a fan in the tent to help circulate the air as well as an exhaust fan but these ladies are bringing the RH up. I did some pruning yesterday of the lower branches to help with air flow, it worked like a charm and the RH is sitting at 60%
This week the ladies really got some height and are crowding the lights. I raised the lights to the highest setting and the plants are about 16 inches from the lights. buds are starting to pop out too.
I forgot to remove the Voodoo Juice from last week, and the growth just kept going. Since I can't raise the lights any higher in the tent, I decided to wrap garden wire around the tops of the colas and gently bend them downward, making sure not to catch the wire on any nodes with flowers. I also tilted the tops slightly to the side to create more distance from the lights. All three plants handled the adjustment well.
The one that survived root rot has been showing signs of calcium deficiency for a while, but it’s still growing vigorously and seems otherwise healthy. However, with the lights so close, it's getting a lot of burned leaves at the top.
Overall, they’re doing great!
Added Big Bud to the feeding schedule, and the plants are happy. Hopefully, it looks like they have slowed down with growth, well at least in size but the buds are looking beautiful. There is a thin layer of frost showing up on the leaves around the flowers. I think this stuff is gonna be really good. It smells so good
The root rot survivor is pushing through and doing great! She might have a bit of a calcium deficiency—her tips are a little dry, and she’s lost some top leaves from the lights being too close. But she’s still stacking up beautiful buds, and her pistils are starting to turn red, just like one of the other plants. All three are handling the slight bend at the tips just fine to keep them a little further from the lights, and they’re all looking good with plenty of buds coming in. I've been pruning the dried top leaves.
I started flushing this week, but instead of emptying the water reservoirs, I'm simply adding fresh water to the existing supply. Looks like I've been using the defoliation method on this grow. I've been thinning out the leaves to improve airflow since these ladies are pretty fluffy, and the humidity was high until I started. Now, I'm also doing it to enhance light exposure. They're thriving—just enjoy the pics!
I've been flushing for a week, but I didn’t empty the water reservoir, so in reality, the flushing is just starting now that I’ve cycled through the first five gallons of clean water. Two of the plants are developing beautifully, with big, fluffy buds covered in white pistils and clear trichomes. The third plant matured faster on the top half, and even had a few ripe branches—possibly because it was the closest to the lights before I tilted them away with wire. I ended up harvesting a few branches and, after lollipopping the buds, got 64 grams wet.
@Legendaryseedthumb, Thanks! I have been challenged with this grow, root rot was not fun. But, hey I am a gardener so I have delt with that before. I have done two others but both with Green Crack and this strain is so different. I checked out your grows, including you Black Muffin, very beautiful!!
