Id say partially the strain and overfed combined with stressors like method switch and yes watering. Probably underwatered to the point where you either have killed so many roots that she cant suck enough water up anymore or the soil got hydrophobic from being too dry and the water you give it just runs off to the sides instead of soaking into your soil. Could also be the case partially, where some of the soil is still moist but there are hydrophobic dry spots in which the roots have probably died.

This is a head scratcher. If it is not solved by a watering solution, try backing your fan off the plant some.
