Seeds sent by Weedseeds express. Shot!
They were good enough to send em so I will do a wall to wall diary as asked.
Permanent marker. 3 for 3 👍
Pretty standard germination method with sinking them, then paper towel.
Good start
Week 2
Looking good. Hot weather has me on my toes with watering and shading.
She loves it, nice even growth which is a good early sign.
The autos are starting to round off now, can’t be more than a few weeks more.
Week 3
Getting good weather, although the afternoon storms keep me on my toes moving in and out.
Nice even growth which I really like.
Will transplant into 40l pot shortly
Week 5
I burned em.
I transplanted into the big pot and built this beautiful soil with no stone unturned.
I was in the zone and just made one single error at the end, a full strength feed.
I should have let the roots take to the new soil before feeding.
It was too much of a good thing and I shocked em a bit.
However Permanent Marker has all but shaken it off now with awesome new green growth.
At least one other plant in the garden has not been as resilient unfortunately.
Twice tipped already, it’s tough and doing well
Week 6
PM is back on track after the overdose.
Just watering all week, but a foliar spray twice daily has helped a lot.
Just a weak mix of a bit of seaweed and calmag did a great job nourishing the plant while the soil rinsed out.
Weather is like a greenhouse, hot and sticky, plants are lovin it
Week 7
I didn’t realise how slow the recovery would be from over feeding.
It’s finally ready for N again but persistent rain has kept the soil saturated.
It’s been a good learning experience for next time I suppose.
I’ve got a few others in for the season which I will do a diary for when the action starts
Week 8
PM is healthy and growing steadily.
Nothing significant this week, although a few hairs have appeared already.
With our summer solstice just 3 days ago plants are enjoying the longest days of the year.
As days slowly shorten things should start to fire up 🎅🎄
Week 9
PM is getting going finally due to some bigger leaves being produced after a burned the earl ones.
My burn early on had a much bigger effect than I expected as the absence of bigger leaves slowed the growth and in turn the branches are not as sturdy and thick as they should be.
Having said that, this week showed signs of strong recovery with full strength feeds again.
Hopefully it’s smooth sailing here out
Week 10
PM is in stretch as pistils appear all over.
I got a nice full feed in ahead of a few days of rain,
It’s a decent size, and really nice and full plant.
It seems to find its own perfect shape with branches that stretch out and then naturally curve upwards without any need to tie or shape manually.
My mate urged me to try growing this strain for its staggering thc content.
Personally I prefer in the low 20s so it will be an eye opener for me, or an eye closer!
Week 11
PM has grown almost a foot taller this week.
Entering flower now and filling out nicely.
Might give it one final clean out soon.
Great weather too, not as hot as usual for this time of year.
I’m up to 4l of water a day now, PM loves it!
Week 12
PM is starting to flower at last.
Going really well, nice solid stem and really full.
I wanted to do a final clean out but it’s been pretty hot out there.
Waiting for a mild afternoon soon.
I’m feeding almost daily and it takes about 4l per feed, loves the food!
Transitioning feeds now to bllom
Week 13
Finally it’s topped out and buds are appearing like popcorn.
At last I got around to clearing out a lot of the middle and lower parts.
It’s a bushy one alright, I took out half a paint bucket of lower and inner leaves and stems.
Loves a feed. 4 to 5l a day of bio Flores and boost.
Week 14
This week I encountered a new issue.
I have a dying branch. The leaves started going yellow, just on the one branch.
The remainder of the plant looks perfectly healthy.
After some reading I had a thorough check from top to bottom.
No sign of borers, but some signs of moisture or softness very low near where it branches off.
My guess is too much water from overnight rains and constant humidity have resulted in
Some kind of fungus developing. It’s affected the integrity of the stem.
Has anyone ever had this before? Just one branch affected?
I’ve taped it up tight and stopped watering for a while.
But if I see it affect an adjoin branch I will have no choice but to cut it off, nearly a third of the plant!
Week 15
PM is coming on now.
I had to cut off the dying branch in the hopes of saving the rest.
So far so good. There is some black around the adjoining stem but no effect on growth so far.
Lots of dust but it doesn’t come off on my fingers. Weird, like it sticks solid to the bud and leaf.
Hard to grow but looks the goods
