Got some Real Growers recharge this week to add some bennies to the coco and help reduce transplant shock. Transplanted the better of the 2 plants to a #3 airpot this week and dusted the rootball with recharge before planting in the new pot. It really seems to have helped as the plant didn't really seem to be affected at all.
It is getting pretty close to time to top her. Gonna wait for the other plants to finish being transplanted and be ready to top so they can all be topped to about the same size.
airpots would not prevent any rootbound whatsoever.. honestly its just bad and expensive.. getting the pot dry way too fast and letting trouble (bugs) an easy route to the rootzone..
Plants look like they need a little N boost, overall looking sweet good luck!:)
What makes you say that? Have you used airpots? I used cloth pots before and airpots essentially do the same thing but require less maintenance for reuse. I just grew 2 autos in 1 gal cloth pots and didnt have either go rootbound. Just wound up with the pot being filled with a giant evely distributed root ball. Im not worried about bugs because my grow room is clean. I dont ever let my pots get dry anyways i water every 2-3 days right now and the coco doesnt dry out in that time. The airflow through the pot is also very helpful to make sure the roots have oxygen readily available. What kind of pots do you use?
