Sprouted on day 3 of being in a rapid rooter. Placed in 3-gallon fabric pot of Fox Farm Happy Frog soil as soon as it sprouted and added it to the grow tent.
Added this to a grow tent where there are already 6 other flowering plants in 3-gallon pots, so this one isn't as directly under the grow light as the others. The grow light is on full power though, and this plant is currently about 38 inches under the grow light. 4 inches is slightly taller than most of my other spouts are at this time in the grow cycle (others are about 3 inches on average), so it may be stretching some, although too early to really tell. It also may be growing a little slower than average because usually at this time the second set of true leaves are more pronounced. Again, too early to tell, although may have to do with the grow light being further away and not as directly overhead.
The reason I started it is I thought another plant was ready for harvest, although upon checking the trichomes it wasn't, but I already started germinating this seed, so I had to make room for it in the tent! I did so by moving the dehumidifier from inside the tent to outside of it.
The weather has been hot and humid this week, unfortunately for my other plants that are flowering, although this sprout seems to be handling it fine so far.
The first set of true leaves are looking a little "twisty" although other than that, everything looks normal. It's still a little taller than average compared to plants for my other grows, which I don't know whether is due to the grow light being further away, it being more sativa dominant, or another factor. Also, on average, at this time the 3rd set of fan leaves is usually more developed.
Fortunately the weather has been less hot and less humid than previous weeks.
I raised the grow light all the way to the top of the tent due to some other plants in the tent showing signs of leaves curling at the top of their top buds.
Grew from 5 inches to 7 inches in height.
Topped it yesterday after it had grown 4 nodes and just started to grow the 5th.
This week has been pleasantly more cool and less humid than last week.
Started veg nutes at 1/8 strength.
The plant started flowering this week, and I began using LST clips and plant ties to train.
Also, I took taller plants ready for harvest out of the grow tent, and lowered the LED light down to only about 19 inches above this plant.
For nutrients, this week I added bloom nutes and CalMag.
There has been a sharp drop in humidity inside the grow tent from about 60% on average to about 50% on average. Also,a decrease in temperature, a minimum all the way down to the upper 50's, although that's because it has been below freezing outside several nights. So humidity hasn't been an issue, although it has been cooler than ideal.
The plant didn't grow much vertically, maybe an inch or two, but I tied the top branches down with plant ties.
Bumped up light schedule from 18 hours to 20 hours to help keep these warmer during the cooler weather.
So far so good. Great weather this past week, although slightly warmer than last which let the grow tent temperature get up to 80F. Buds are pleasantly and surprisingly purple! Must be from the relatively cooler weather these past few weeks.
Notice the photo with possible pollen sacs though, right below where I topped it, which has me a little concerned, so will keep an eye on it.
Started removing big yellowing fan leaves.
Grew about an inch in height this past week.
Started to show brown curling-up tips and also some brown blotches, so I raised the grow light from 18" above the tops to 24" in case it is light stressed.
This past week was more humid since it rained several days, with an average humidity inside the grow tent of about 60%.
Still loving the dark purple color of the buds so far.
Lower humidity this week at an average of about 50%.
Almost all pistols have now darkened and it seems about 50%+ of the trichomes are milky instead of clear, so today I started flushing it to prepare it for harvest.
I noticed a few pink colored trichomes, which I've never seen before! See the posted photos.
This thing is ready to chop as it isn't growing or maturing any more. Glad I started flushing when I did. Stopped giving water and put in the dark with no light to maximize resin production, and plan to chop in a couple days.
This week was colder than last, and also the average humidity was lower.
It was a very healthy grow, and had no issues. Although the wet weight yield is about 25% lower for this plant than my average, the harvest was very pleasant with frosty, resinous buds that smelled wonderful and had beautiful pink hues.
Dry weight is only 9.2g, which is about 30% less than my average, although that may be due to growing later in the year than average (last day of October) and the cooler temperatures.
The aroma an taste is wonderful. I don't know what a papaya tastes like, although to me this certainly has a sweet light-colored fruit taste, but not as sour as citrus. More like tropical fruits like apricots or mangos.
The effects are like a classic sativa-dominant hybrid. For the first smoke, I wanted to do things around the house, but still got that nice light-headed feel without getting sleepy or couch locked. A great daytime strain.
Even though my yield was lower than average, I'll probably grow again earlier in the year and find out if yield improves. The flavor is great, and when I measured the THC it came in at a whopping 28% (see attached test results), the strongest strain that I've ever tested!

You’re good my friend those don’t seem to be pollen sacs . if they have pistols (hairs/stigmas) coming out they are the female reproductives (calyx and bract)
