Really starting to take off this week. One in the back is a pink bubba I started about a month prior. Figured I'd give this a try using root farm base veg and flower nutrients available at walmart.
Noticed small brown spots kind of center of leaves, noticing some kind of chewed up deformed leaves now. From what I've read it sounds like leaf hoppers? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
For the little brown spots on your leafs is starting sign of PK deficiency most people refer to it as "rust" . You must remember that when your flip your lights from veg to flower your plant is always going to need a good boost in PK to help facilitate the transition from veg to flower . Its trying to use up all the PK it can from the medium to from up the flowers . I would also advise that you use some CalMag supplements during flower , this will help a few different things but mostly help keep the plant on the level so that it can keep pushing forward making big nuggy nugs . The CalMag helps prevent the yellowing in the veins of the leaf as well as getting those little red/purple stems .Mostly your problem stems from not having any Potassium and Phosphorus in your mix here ( thats PK ) and this will lead to the little "rust" spots you see on your leaves . I would advise that you start using your bloom solution as soon as you can to slow and then stop the damages that have been done so your plant(s) can be rocking and rolling :) . Things are going well. Hoping to start flushing the one plant in about a week or so. The other one I'm starting to think is possibly not at early miss, time will tell though. The fimmed plant is sitting at 18.5 inches and the topped at 18.
Things still going well. The topped plant took right off this week and is finally starting to make flowers. The fimmed plant is doing well buds are fattening right out. By the way things are looking I'm gonna flush the one out (hoping for 2 weeks) to make room for the other to take its place (im also running out of room). Fimmed plant has stopped growing at 18.5 inches and focused on bud production, the topped has shot up to 20 inches.
Things still going well. Final week of flush for the one plant. The other is finally starting to fill out. Hoping to get another full week of flushing and then going to let it dry right out in complete darkness for 3 days if all goes well. If things go according to plan I will be cutting in down in a max of 10 days if not sooner.
Decided to cut the one plant down yesterday. Need the room to focus my led light on the 2 other plants. This plant could have went a little longer but overall happy with the outcome. Just cut and hang to dry. Will be back with a smoke report once properly cured. In the meantime will continue to update this diary with the other plant I had started it with. Happy growing everyone!
2nd plant still going strong, going to let this one completely finish up. Height is now just the topped plant. Things are going well cant wait to see the results. Added some big bud and cal mag to the mix this week. Happy growing everyone!
Things going very good since adding some big bud to the mix. Wish I would have had this stuff for the last plant. It definately does what it says and really packs on the weight to the buds. I definitely will be buying this again. Plants pistils are starting to finally change colour. Still gonna be a while yet though I intend to let this one go to the bitter end.
Has anyone ever tried cutting off certain buds from an autoflower and letting the rest mature up a bit more? Just wondering because the top is a month ahead of the bottom of the plant (which is usually the case). If you have done this what was the outcome?
Absolutely, why not? Many growers do this for one to split the trimming process when you have huge grows and second to let the bottom mature to have the same quality buds you'd get from your top nugs. They will also slightly fattened up but don't count on a huge difference.
Things still going well, although I didnt accidently give them a slight nute burn this week. Noticed some trichomes starting to turn just a bit amber. Have decided to start my two week flush now (hopefully). We shall see how things go!
Week 1 of flush done. Things starting to turn yellow slowly. Hoping to get another week of flush followed by 3 days to dry out in complete darkness. We will see how things go as the yellowing has started picking up in the last couple days, fingers crossed!
This is actually the harvest from the 2nd early miss auto I grew from crop kings. The site wouldnt allow me to put another harvest on the one strain or add another identical strain so had to enter it as a custom breeder seed. This plant was a beast! The best auto I've grown to date. Just over a pound wet weight, trimming not the best but it's just personal smoke anyways and I was starting to get lazy after doing it for quite sometime. Anyways I'll be back with a full smoke report and dry weight once this stuff is done hanging. Looks to be a good yield. Thanks to all who have been part of the journey!
