i'm so excited to see if the little babies will turn out! at first i wanted to germinate the seeds in Jiffys - then i decided to put them directly into the substrate. don't want to stress them later. the soil is mixed with 3handfuls of perlites and 3g of fertilizer per pot (each pot is 6L). the top layer - with the wet hole for the seeds - is just soil. maybe a bit paranoid about over-fertilization at the beginning.. budd.. before the seed is laying in his hole to develop himself, the hole soaked some water. finally, coverd lightly with soil, the journey begins! the next day the pots take a little bath in their holders and i sprayed the top layer additionally. I'm a little unsure about the lighting (18/6). i'm constantly checking to make sure they aren't getting too dry. of course the babies germinate in the dark, budd I still prefer a cycle of day and night that is as natural as possible. so we will see.. until the first seedling sees the light, i impatiently wiggle back and forth in front of my tent - can't wait!
