Sunday Jan 20, 2019 at 6:09 PM Started the germination process in a glass of RO water with Purple Kush Feminized seeds. Monday at 7:10PM transferred to wet paper towel. Tuesday at 4:09PM 1/4” tap roots showing. Wednesday at 3:30 AM 1/2” tap roots, transferred to Solo Cups with CoCo Coir which I pH’d to 5.8 with RO water and gave them a feeding with nutrients. Thursday Jan. 24,2019 at 5:43 AM #1 PK sprouted, #2 PK sprouted at 5:01PM. Any comments or suggestions? I need all the help I can get ! Wish me luck 🙂
Jan 31, 2019 They are 7 days old now and coming along nicely. They get a feeding to run off morning and night. Going to double the amount of nutes weekly to see how they take it. Will back off at first sign of over for feeding and flush if necessary. So far they are liking the CoCo Coir.
Well it’s been 2 weeks now and the girls are doing nicely, they have been lightly fed twice a day and have outgrown their Solo cups. I flushed the Coco 3 times to a reading of 10ppm out the bottom. It took 2.5 gallons of pH’d RO water.. I transferred them to 5.7 litre smart pots tonight and gave them about 500ml of nutes. I also prepped the CoCo with Myko before transplanting. So far I’m liking the CoCo and so are the girls. Wish me luck on this grow. Any comments and suggestions welcome.
Day 21, end of week 3. Very pleased with how well they are coming along. They outgrew the 1.5 gallon pots in just 6 days. Transferred to their final 5 gallon pots. PK1 transferred last night and PK2 was transferred tonight. They are looking very healthy and responding well to the nutes in CoCo. I’m afraid to go higher in temps and humidity due to recommended levels for this strain. Any comments or suggestions?
Day 25 Feb 21, 2019 Topped the girls at 10:30AM.
We’ll end of week 4, Day 28 and all is going well. I gave them one feeding of 680PPM and had the slightest of tip burn on PK1, so I flushed with 500PPM which they seem to be doing fine with. All is well, just a slight slow down in growth due to mid week defoliation, but they are bouncing back nicely now. I started to do some LST earlier in the week, but have since removed it. Going to just top all the tops in week 5 and send to flower in week 6. Any comments or suggestions?
Mid-Week 5 Day 33, Topped all tops and defoliated. Getting ready for flower, flipping the switch in 10 days. I know they look bare, but they will be fine 😎 a few hours later and they were reaching for the lights !
Well end of Week 5, Day 35 and the girls are doing fine, even after all the abuse they received with the topping, defoliation and then LST. It’s amazing what these plants can handle. I’m going to leave them alone this coming week except for slight adjustments to the LST lines. Hopefully if all goes well I’ll be flipping to flower next weekend. Wish me luck, I’ll need it considering what happened to my first grow. Won’t make that mistake again !!!!
End of week 6, Day 42 and all is going well. Did another defoliation 3 days ago and they bounced back nicely again. Started to lower the light schedule to get ready for 12-12. Currently at 15 - 9 going to 14 - 10 for Saturday , 13 - 11. Sunday and 12 - 12 on Monday. Let’s go Flower, been waiting patiently for the switch.
Week 7, Day 49, Day 5 of flower, this week went well, the girls are healthy and growing nicely. Having a little problem with humidity, but working on it, installed a bigger humidifier and will be rerouting the exhaust duct line, should improve once the rerouting is done. Will defoliate again in 2 weeks, these girls get bushy very quickly. Should help with the humidity also. Only been flowering for 5 days and little white hairs are starting to show 😎. Starting to reach for the lights as well. Any comments or suggestions or concerns?
Week 8, Day 56, Day 12 of Flower.
Well the girls are doing nicely again, however PK#2 is still smaller than PK#1. PK1 is 18” tall and PK2 is only 14” tall. Seeds came from same package, but PK2 sprouted 8 hours later. Both are receiving the same nutes. I did notice this morning that she did start to stretch since seeing her last night. All in all things are going well. I did notice a few fan leaves with a slight purpling so I will try adding a little more CaliMagic on the next feed. They are currently receiving 200ppm. Of CaliMagic. The last feeding was 660ppm total nutes, but 950ppm 1.9EC in the run-off so I gave them some Phed water to help clear some of the nutes building up in the media on the next feed which went down to 650ppm 1.3EC in the run-off. Thinking about doing a flush with some Florakleen, or should I wait until flush time at week 7 and 8 of flower when Trichomes are hopefully milky. All comments and suggestions welcome.
Week 9, Day 63, Day 19 of Flower.
Once again all is going well, girls are doing nicely. PK1 is still larger than PK2 but PK2 is getting larger also. Buds are starting to bulk and some nice colas starting to form. I am very pleased with how they are doing. After this coming week 4 of Flower I am going to switch to only KoolBloom 2-45-28 for 2 to 3 weeks at a 1/4 tsp/gallon. Any suggestions or comments?
End of week 4 and all is going well, had a slight calcium issue on a couple of leaves, but it was corrected and all is good again. These girls are responding well to the nutes, but my run-off is getting a little high, that should change when I cut out the Flora Micro and just feed calmag, Dnectar and KoolBoom for the next couple of weeks. Any comments or suggestions? Wish me luck.... just a few weeks to harvest now.
All is going well, the girls are looking good. Only providing Calmag and powder KoolBloom now. Buds are starting to thicken up and overall nice and healthy. Raised up PK2 slightly, PK1 is much taller.
Week 6 went well the girls are doing nicely, getting harder to take pics now. pH is decreasing in the root zone below 5.5 I’ve been feeding at 6.0 to raise it, but doesn’t seem to be helping. pH pen is calibrated so I’m going to flush Tomorrow to bring it to 5.7 crowding is becoming an issue, I’m using yo-yos to help support and pull away from each other. I’ve been removing the odd leaf to uncover flowers. All in all I am looking forward to harvest in a few weeks.
All is going well, Week 7, Day 47 of Flower. Cola’s are starting to fall into each other and tip over. I didn’t have enough yo-yos to go around all 4 plants. Colas are nice and dense and sticky, what a beautiful smell. Trichomes are looking good and some nice ambers on PK2. Will monitor closely this week. Hopefully will start flushing by end of week 8 if there are enough amber trichomes.

All is going well, Week 8, Day 54 of Flower. Well I started the FLUSH, it took only 6 gallons of pH adjusted water to bring her down from 1100ppm to 70ppm. Cola’s are falling into each other and tipping over. I didn’t have enough yo-yos to go around all 4 plants. Trichomes are looking a lot cloudier since last week with some ambers. Going to be a busy day this coming Friday, chop chop time. I’ve never trimmed before as this will be my first harvest, but definitely looking forward to it. I will say though, I will not do 4 plants together in this tent again, it’s just too crowded and definitely will effect the yield. I will try just one plant with a longer veg time with a lot of training for multiple colas with a scrog net.
Day 105 Week 9, Day 62Flower.
Harvest Time......They were flushed with pH adjusted water for a week every two days. Their last 72Hrs were in total darkness and then they were chopped down. I found this to be a strain that was very easy to work with and enjoyed the entire grow. I probably should have let them go another week, but I couldn’t wait. I finally had a successful harvest. They are currently drying in the tent with their sisters. This was my first harvest and I heard it takes time to trim, but I had no idea it would take that long. Anyways take a look at the whole process. Sorry for so many pics. I’ll complete the harvest week as soon as the dry weight is complete. I also included pics of the root systems. Also some nice Trichomes from the trim tray.
Overall I was happy with this grow aside from being overcrowded. Definitely won’t grow 4 plants in this tent again. I believe the yield suffered because of the crowding. The overall quality of the buds was nice but could have been better with more space in the room. I should have waited a little longer to harvest and perhaps the 48hrs of darkness preharvest didn’t help.
