OK guys I adopted these two beauties from week 1 flower.
They were put in this tent on 6/11 were switched to 12/12 from 18/6.
Scrog net on 10/11. I soo didn't have enough space for their full potential though I needed a wider tent.
OK guys week 2 veg I did my research (I'm a first timer) and realized I should have done a bit of lollipopping below the main canopy.
So, a bit late but I cleared the big fan leaves and a lot of flower growth that was tiny on the branches below the scrog net.
I've noticed these are yellowing a lot in the middle so I'm gonna try lowering the nutrients on 1 and not on the other to assess the situation. (I'm using bionova PK 13-14 and Superbloom as per their guidelines for ml/liter).
Usually I water once a week with additives and the rest of the time with clean water 180ppm at 20°C. PH should be 6.50 but am not 100% as my pH meter broke and am waiting for a new one.
Any comments or advice would be appreciated!
OK week 3 guys the yellowing seems to be going away and I have no idea what caused it😂
One is being watered with only pure watter at 180 ppm and the other I gave a feed 2 days ago and a clean watering today.
Both seem to be pulling ahead making nice flowers, stretching up and becoming bushier at the same time. I also did another bit of light defoliation and got rid of unnecessary fan leaves I missed the first time round.
I've added photos without the light on for better view of the ladies and the issue I'm having with them.
Opinions would be much appreciated as a first time solo grower, I've only watched other people grow so far😁
OK guy I've ruined my elevens😭
My pH meter broke and they were getting 8 pH water. I've flushed them for 3 hours this morning and the residue water in their trays is still 7.5 (I'm flushing with 4.5 pH).
Is there anything else I can do to get it right?
I've made a foliar spray for the canopy from organic waste being soaking in water and I've flushed them with 80 liters of water...
Help!!
OK so update from last week I found out my soil is really off pH it could be 8 or 9 pH but I haven't got a soil meter to be sure.
Anyway, obvious massive deficiency in ll kinds of nutrients because their roots can't soak up anything with such alkaline soil. I did think about reporting them and trimming their roots but it's too late in flower for that and I don't have the time.
What I have done is I am using PK 13 14, Cal Mag and home made spray from organic waste mixed together as a foliar spray per guidelines.
The one in the right is terrible she isn't taking it well at all I've had to remove 90% of her old leaves she looks like a skeleton but on the up side the new growth is green and happy so I'm just taking off the old as it shrivels.
The one on the left is a tough mofo and sprung back after 2 foliar sprays (once a week) though I can definitely see a PK deficiency still.
I am still hoping the one on the left will make it while the right one might bounce back but I won't get much from her.
Anyway guys if you have any tips for what else I could do for my ladies to help it would be much appreciated!
OK finally my girls are picking up. We'll, one is deffo not totally gone, but the other one is definitely badly damaged.
However, after flushing and raising their pots out of the tray so they could drain properly, the foliar spray of PK 13-14 and Calmag, as well as home made organic fertilizer, they have finally pulled through.
They definitely won't reach full potential, but I am highly excited about the sugar crystals I'm getting from the one on the left.
Fingers crossed we won't have any more incidents😂
OK so this week I was away so this is the end of week 7 instead of the beginning of the week.
As I was away, I had a drip feeding system in with just water and organic home made compost.
They have put a lot of weight on, especially the one in the left.
The one on the right isn't putting on crystals on all of its branches for some reason. I noticed it was considerably more damp than the one on the left and there was some white fuzz on the soil and on the main stem.
I will put in an extra fan for better circulation at the bottom of the plants and begin giving them only water until they are ready.
OK guys I've shut them down to 4hrs light a day for 2 days now. They have really filled out those buds and are looking extra sugary.
I have been watering with 140ppm water at 6.2-7 pH with flawless finish for 6 days now.
I have just given them probably the last watering will leave them for another 3-5 days on 4hr schedule before turning lights off for 2 days and then harvesting.
Next diary will be the harvest!! I hope nothing goes tits up from here😂
Ok guys so wet weight is 220 off the strong girl and the other one when I took her apart was 80g wet.
Obvs the one that is 80 is the one with bad root rot, basically no root she just fell over.
The other one had an amazing root very strong and she survived the newbie abuse.
Anyway, it's a shame these two didn't reach their full potential but I've definitely learned a lot with this grow and hope I do better next time round!
