Tropicana Cookies FF & Orange Sherbet FF von Fastbuds

Week Nr. 2, nothing special.

Die beiden stehen nun seit einigen Tagen unter 100W, wachsen wie erwartet und werden vermutlich am Sonntag ins Zelt umziehen. 14.12: Spontan umgetopft, die Beiden dürfen sich nun im 11 Liter Eigenheim wohl fühlen. ----------- The two have now been under 100W for a few days, are growing as expected and will probably move into the tent on Sunday. 14.12: Spontaneously repotted, the two can now feel comfortable in their 11 liter home.

Die beiden legen mittlerweile richtig los was den Wachstum angeht. Vor ein paar Tagen wurden sie in ihre Endtöpfe gesetzt und entwickeln sich gut. Die Orange Sherbet riecht sogar schon nach Orange Habe die beiden Pflanzen am 21.12 nach der 5 Internodie getopped. Die Tropicana zeigte am 19.12 plötzlich über Nacht Mangelsymptome, die ich mir nicht erklären kann. PH Wert stimmt, Substrat ist noch frisch und der Orange Sherbet, die unter den selben Bedingnugen wächst, geht es prächtig. Habe dann etwas Magnesium Blattgedüngt und seitdem ist das Fortschreiten des Mangels unterbunden. Sonst geht es den beiden sehr gut. 23.12: Ich habe heute auf 12/12 geflipped. Einfach weil es das erste mal mit zwei Pflanzen im Zelt ist und ich Sorge habe, dass sie es sprengen. Ansonsten scheint der spontane Magnesium (?) Mangel vorbei zu sein. Blattdüngung wirkt immer sehr schnell, ich bin fan. Das nächste Update kommt nach den Feiertagen, frohe Weihnachten euch! ---------- The two are now really starting to grow. They were placed in their final pots a few days ago and are developing well. The Orange Sherbet even smells of orange already. I topped the two plants on 21.12 after the 5th internode. The Tropicana suddenly showed symptoms of deficiency overnight on 19.12, which I can't explain. PH value is correct, substrate is still fresh and the Orange Sherbet, which is growing under the same conditions, is doing splendidly. I then added some magnesium foliar fertilizer and since then the progression of the deficiency has been halted. Otherwise they are both doing very well. 23.12: I flipped to 12/12 today. Simply because it's the first time with two plants in the tent and I'm worried that they'll blow it up. Apart from that, the spontaneous magnesium (?) deficiency seems to be over. Foliar fertilization always works very quickly, I'm a fan. The next update will come after the holidays, Merry Christmas to you all!

So, Tag 1 der Blütephase ist um und Heiligabend kann man sich gut merken. Bin auf den Stretch gespannt! ---------- So, day 1 of the flowering phase is over and Christmas Eve is a good day to remember. I'm looking forward to the stretch!

31.12: Eine Woche Stretching ist vorrüber, das Ende ist dennoch nicht in Sicht. Heute habe ich mal ein bisschen die kleinen Popcorntriebe entfernt und mich um überflüssige Blätter gekümmert. Bricht mir immer etwas das Herz, wenn die großen Fan Leaves abgenommen werden. Dazu etwas LST mit Clips, um den Platz in der Box nach von und hinten besser auszunutzen. Ansonsten entwickeln sie sich gut, von Blüten allerdings noch keine Anzeichen. Es bleibt spannend. ------- 31.12: One week of stretching is over, but the end is not in sight. Today I removed some of the small popcorn shoots and took care of the superfluous leaves. It always breaks my heart when the big fan leaves are removed. I also added some LST with clips to make better use of the space in the box to the front and back. Otherwise they are developing well, but there are no signs of flowers yet. It remains exciting.

Blühwoche 3 ist angebrochen und der Großteil des Stretchings ist vorbei. Die Tropicana zeigt erste Blütenansätze und scheint ein paar Tage weiter zu sein als die Orange Sherbet. Habe fleißig entlaubt und etwas Lollipopping angewandt. Darüber hinaus scheint die Tropicana nach wie vor etwas empfindlich zu sein, was den Stickstoff im Boden angeht. Die Sherbet steckt das vorgedüngte Substrat auf jeden Fall besser weg. Ansonsten sehen beiden Pflanzen gesund aus und ich freue mich, wenn ich bald ein paar Buds wachsen sehen darf. Achso, weil ich die Düngerangabe hier auf Growdiaries super clunky finde, habe ich den Dünger meiner Wahl als Foto reingegestellt. Dazu gibt es immer mal wieder eine leichte Blattdüngung mit Magnesium. Läuft! ------------ Flowering week 3 has begun and most of the stretching is over. Tropicana is showing the first buds and seems to be a few days further along than Orange Sherbet. I have diligently defoliated and applied some lollipopping. In addition, the Tropicana still seems to be somewhat sensitive to nitrogen in the soil. The Sherbet definitely copes better with the pre-fertilized substrate. Apart from that, both plants look healthy and I'm looking forward to seeing some buds growing soon. By the way, because I find the fertilizer information here on Growdiaries super clunky, I've added a photo of the fertilizer of my choice. I also add a light foliar fertilizer with magnesium from time to time.

Diese Woche war die bisher stressigste. Warum? Weil beide (!) Pflanzen angefangen haben Pollensäcke auszubilden. WTF @Fastbuds. Bin fleißig dabei jeden Tag zu kontrollieren und zu zupfen und habe auf jeden Fall vor, den Grow weiter durchzuziehen. Denn die beiden Damen sehen abgesehen von ihren Balls sehr schön aus und machen tolle Fortschritte. Ich habe als Kontroll"gruppe" eine kleine Sensi Seeds Skunk #1 Photo mit im Zelt stehen und die wächst deutlich langsamer als die beiden Fast Flowering Strains. Scheint also schon was dran zu sein. Ansonsten scheine ich bei der Tropicana einen Purple Pheno erwischt zu haben, was mich freut. Geruchstechnisch tut sich auch einiges; man bekommt schon eine Idee, wie die beiden in ein paar Wochen riechen werden. Die Sherbet hat eine scharfe Säure mit einem warmen Orangen Unterton, erinnert mich an Fanta. Die Tropicana riecht tatsächlich nach tropischen Früchten mit einem erdigen "Keks" Körper. Gefällt mir! Bleibt nur die Frage, warum sie zwittern. Ich habe den Eindruck dass sie SEHR sehr empfindlich auf Entlaubung reagieren und das vielleicht schon zu viel Stress für sie war. Vielleicht war aber auch mein Fehler, dass ich sie zu häufig und in kleinen Schritten entlaubt habe und sie so nicht genug Zeit zur Regeneration hatten. Weiß jemand mehr? --------------------------- This week has been the most stressful so far. Why? Because both (!) plants have started to form pollen sacs. WTF @Fastbuds. I'm busy checking and plucking every day and definitely intend to keep growing. Apart from their balls, the two ladies look beautiful and are making great progress. I have a small Sensi Seeds Skunk #1 Photo in the tent as a control “group” and it grows much slower than the two Fast Flowering strains. So there seems to be something to it. Apart from that, I seem to have caught a purple pheno with Tropicana, which makes me happy. There is also a lot going on in terms of smell; you can already get an idea of what the two will smell like in a few weeks. The Sherbet has a sharp acidity with a warm orange undertone that reminds me of Fanta. The Tropicana actually smells like tropical fruit with an earthy “cookie” body. I like it! The only question that remains is why they twitter. I have the impression that they are VERY sensitive to defoliation and maybe that was already too much stress for them. But maybe it was also my mistake that I defoliated them too often and in small steps and so they didn't have enough time to regenerate. Does anyone know more?

21.1: Frohe Kunde! Nachdem ich über eine Woche lang jeden Tag nach Pollensäcken gesucht habe und sicherlich +20 Stück entfernen konnte, scheinen die Damen das Zwittern hinter sich gelassen zu haben. Jedenfalls ist seit vier Tagen Ruhe und ich werde nun nur noch jeden 2. oder 3. Tag kontrollieren. Zu sagen ist noch, dass die TC weitaus empfindlicher auf Dünger reagiert. Beide werden unter den exakt gleichen Bedingungen angebaut, die TC zeigt aber viel schneller Symptome von leichter Überdüngung, der OS ist das total egal. Die Tropicana ist nach wie vor schneller als die Orange Sherbet. Dafür ist die Sherbet VOLLER Buds und riecht für mich auch angenehmer. Richtig schön spritzig nach Orange. Die Tropicana hat zwar das komplexere Geruchsprofil, spricht mich dennoch (noch?) nicht ganz an, zu floral und blumig. Dafür bildet sie wunderschöne purple Buds aus. Ich hoffe der Grow ist in 4-5 Wochen durch, habe nämlich gestern etwas voreilig die nächsten Samen ins Wasserbad geschmissen... -------------- Happy news! After checking for pollen sacs every day for over a week and certainly removing +20 of them, the ladies seem to have left hermaphroditism behind them. In any case, they have been quiet for four days and I will now only check every 2nd or 3rd day. It should also be said that the TC reacts much more sensitively to fertilizer. Both are grown under exactly the same conditions, but the TC shows symptoms of slight over-fertilization much more quickly, the OS doesn't care at all. The Tropicana is still faster than the Orange Sherbet. On the other hand, the Sherbet is FULL of buds and also smells more pleasant to me. Really nice and tangy orange. Although Tropicana has a more complex odor profile, it doesn't quite appeal to me (yet?), too floral and perfumy. On the other hand, it produces beautiful purple buds. I hope the grow will be finished in 4-5 weeks, because yesterday I threw the next seeds into the water bath a bit prematurely... Thanks for reading my bullshit

02.02: Also, viel ist nicht passiert, aber trotzdem genug. Die Sherbet macht tolle Fortschritte und sitzt voller Buds die gerade in der Massephase sind. Der Geruch wird deutlich schwerer und ist weniger spritzig, passt zu dem Frost der sich gerade bildet. Die Tropicana ist leider nach wie vor das Sorgenkind und wird von mir eher nicht mehr angebaut. Die Gentik scheint recht instabil. Dass sie extrem empfindlich ist, erwähnte ich ja schon. Wenn ich die beiden Pflanzen vergleiche, die absolut identlisch behandelt werden, fällt auf, dass die Sherbet zu wenig Dünger bekommt, währen die Tropicana mit der glechen Menge überfordert scheint. Dabei dünge ich schon eher konservativ... Leider kommen auch langsam die Rudalis Gene durch; die kleineren Buds sind von Foxtailing betroffen und ein ganzer Trieb hat einen komplett anormalen Wuchs, einfach ein kleiner Haariger Lumpen, der irgendwie ne Blüte sein soll. Geruchstechnisch ist sie auch kein Überflieger; riecht leicht fruchtig mit einer ordentlichen Note billigen Parfüms, das mich an Ostblock-Bordelle erinnert. Zumindest stelle ich mir vor, dass es dort so riecht. Auf der Pro-Seite sind allerdings die wirklich festen Mainbuds und die tolle Farbe. Das muss ich ihr lassen. Hoffe nur dass sie in den nächsten Wochen noch ordentlich an Masse zulegt. ----------- 02.02: So, not much has happened, but still enough. The Sherbet is making great progress and is full of buds that are currently in the mass phase. The smell is clearly getting heavier and is less tangy, which suits the frost that is currently forming. Unfortunately, Tropicana is still the problem child and I tend not to grow it any more. The genetics seem quite unstable. I have already mentioned that it is extremely sensitive. When I compare the two plants, which are treated absolutely identically, it is noticeable that the Sherbet gets too little fertilizer, while the Tropicana seems to be overtaxed with the same amount. I already fertilize rather conservatively... Unfortunately, the Rudalis genes are also slowly coming through; the smaller buds are affected by foxtailing and one whole shoot has completely abnormal growth, just a little hairy rag that is somehow supposed to be a flower. In terms of smell, it's not a high-flyer either; it smells slightly fruity with a decent hint of cheap perfume that reminds me of Eastern Bloc brothels. At least that's what I imagine it smells like there. On the pro side, however, are the really solid mainbuds and the great color. I have to give it that. I just hope that it gains a lot more mass over the next few weeks.

Langsam geht der Grow zuende. Die Tropicana Headbuds sind 60% milky, 20% clear & 20% amber. In einer Woche werden sie geerntet, die anderen Buds sollen aber noch weiter wachsen, sind mir teilweise noch zu klein. Die Sherbet macht sich weiterhin großartig, braucht aber bestimmt noch 2-3 weitere Wochen. Das Düngen werde ich nun aber einstellen und nur noch mit Wasser gießen. ------------- The grow is slowly coming to an end. The Tropicana headbuds are 60% milky, 20% clear & 20% amber. They will be harvested in a week, but the other buds should continue to grow, some of them are still too small for me. The Sherbet is still doing great, but will definitely need another 2-3 weeks. However, I will now stop fertilizing and only water with water.
