Report of week 8:
The buds look excellent and have continued to increase in volume this week. The plants are in outstanding condition. The trichomes have also made noticeable progress: about 50% are still clear, while the other 50% have developed a slightly milky appearance. It is expected that the trichomes will turn mostly milky in the coming days, indicating further ripening.
This week’s care focused on keeping the humidity consistently below 50%, mostly between 40-45%, to provide optimal conditions for bud maturation. Daytime temperatures remained stable at 24-25°C, and the lamp distance settled at 35 cm.
Watering was carried out every two days. At the beginning of the week, the plants were watered with 2 liters per plant, including a fertilizer dose of 5 ml Bloom per liter of water. From the middle of the week onward, the fertilizer was completely discontinued, and the plants were given 3 liters of clear water per watering. This resulted in a drain of about 10-20%, which was removed afterward. This process was intended to flush excess fertilizer and salt deposits from the substrate and gradually transition the plants into the autumn phase.
I have realized that I used slightly high fertilizer amounts for an automatic strain during this grow. I plan to avoid this in my next grow. Flushing with drain helped prepare the plants for the final stage of flowering.
The plants are now showing their first autumn-like changes. They are beginning to draw nutrients from the lower leaves into the buds, causing the leaves to discolor. The buds themselves have also developed an autumnal and very appealing coloration, highlighting their advanced ripening stage.
