Comfrey I grew TB Strawberry Haze Auto in the height of summer. A bit late, but there are strawberries in December. I can already reveal: super delicious! Berry to fruity with earthy components and a relaxed Sativa high. An earth bear loves to eat strawberries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! This strain is very well suited for that.
Here we go with wind and rain on my rotting balcony in the heart of Germany.

Comfrey It's my first year growing cannabis. Since I've had good experiences with permaculture vegetable gardening in my garden, I decided to do similar things. And now, after gaining a bit of experience in my first grow, I will do similar but also different things. For this grow, I'm using horsetail manure as the only fertilizer until two weeks before the end, plus Bokashi juice twice during the growing season.
The biochar compost is almost two years old. During the composting process, I added fermented Bokashi with a lot of citrus peels, eggshells, oyster shells, fish bones, and vegetable scraps, as well as some chicken manure, a bit of bat guano, and dolomite rock flour alongside the biochar from my pyrolysis oven. This well-rotted compost was way too hot for potting. So this second grow will be done with a mix of biochar compost and coconut fiber (~80/20). We'll see if that works better.

Comfrey It's raining and raining, clouds are hanging in the sky. The little plant is still thriving and feels somewhat comfortable.
Watering is not necessary on rainy days, and at night it is still covered with the glass bowl, ensuring air exchange.

Comfrey The substrate is soaked after heavy rainfalls but still well-aerated. The leaves look a bit worn, no idea what that is. It's storming, she needed some support and got through this week without a nightly glass roof over her head.

Comfrey The little plant is becoming a plant. So far, it's going well. I think the decision to mix 20% coconut fibers into the compost was the right one.

Comfrey This week there are no photos.
The plant has stretched further and has grown really nicely. I started with LST and gave horsetail tea in a 1:20 ratio.

Comfrey This week I had to stay on top of things, a crazy stretch made almost daily LST and a subtle defoliation necessary. Due to the location of our balcony, we decided to tie down all the plants vigorously. I had two goals in mind. On one hand, we only have a maximum of seven hours of direct sunlight here. With LST, I hope for an even flower formation and concentration of terpenes. On the other hand, our balcony is right in the village center with a lot of "foot traffic." The German cannabis law stipulates that cultivation must not be publicly visible. Without tying them down, you could see the ladies. The arrangement of the plants was also done in such a way that a kind of sun trap is formed. Each plant, and especially the flowers, get the maximum possible sunlight. 🌞
Watering is now done in the mornings and evenings based on feel.

Comfrey During LST, I accidentally broke the top bud. She will survive, but the break caused her quite a bit of stress.
Comfrey 23.-30.07.
The week flew by. Strawberry Haze Auto is now smelling very fruity with citrus notes.
The buds are swelling after a crazy stretch. The intense LST and the removal of distracting leaves have ensured that the buds receive sunlight very evenly and later in the flowering stage, air can circulate well.
For two days of the week, the plants were under the awning, as it rained heavily for hours.
Watering is going as usual, based on feel. On hot sunny days, up to 1.5 liters.

The buds are getting fatter and smell really nice. Aside from watering and feeding a bit of horsetail tea, I didn't have to do much.

The humidity is very high in the mornings, but so far I don't see any signs of rot. We're probably still a bit away from the dew point.
Water + field horsetail.
@Stony_German, I didn't finish the diary last year and recently caught up on it. So it was cut down on September 3rd last year.
Just put the first seeds for this year in water.
