She is certainly producing a fair amount of resin with the sugar leaves having a sparkly coating.
I really like how fast this plant is developing her buds and the overall size and stature.
Yes, I have done it several times. You just have to be very precise on how much light you are giving the plant every day. You must give it at least 12 hours of uninterupted darkness. Even exposing it to 5 minutes of light in between can affect the cycle giving you issues like stretching and foxtailing. And say you give it 13 hours of dark then you want to maintain that 13. It is all about consistancy if you want the best possible end result.
Is it normal to see amber trichomes as early as today??
I was checking with a handheld 60x loupe and there are clearly some opaque and amber trichomes
I couldn't find any info in my books so thought I would ask here
hi dankdownunder, yes its normal, the trichomes appear , change colour and get amber in steps, you can have a plant with clear and amber trichomes on one plant... its just a sign where the buds more matuated. MOst time on the tops they are maturating sooner, and in lower areas are clear, its a question where the light can reach to.
In some grows i harvest in steps, starting with the Maturated buds on the top and as the lower areas get more light they maturate too. I have it most times in outdoors , on very dense plants
@DILLIGAF,just the way you like it. from the point they are milky you can harvest. and how many ambers you like to have is your descision. some like it only milky, some like it with 30 percent, some like more. and 30 percent amber souns good to me if its not to hot outdoors. I had an outdoor grow last year and waited for showing enough amber. It ended with having seeds because of the heat. The plant was stressed and selfpollinated.( we had above 30 degree c) so watch your outdoor and harvest the parts as you like to hav them
@Mrs_Larimar, so at what stage of trich development would you start to harvest some of the more matured bud ?? all cloudy with say 30% amber sound about right??
This is all new to me but very interesting and enjoyable to learn ๐
Thankyou for answering my grow question ๐
I forgot to mention, the most important part is checking your local sunrise calendar the way you are timing it. If your sunrise is getting a couple minutes earlier each day then you have to account for that in the time you cover the plant or it may try to reveg.
@DILLIGAF, hey mate I'm in Australia and can generally get seeds in easy as. I use seedsman most of the time and get 100% delivery success. As for price I find what I get awesome value for what I grow from it๐
Hello! Good idea making your own seeds, I got mixed results myself, but it was much better than anticipated, but because when you pollinate two different plants you can get very mixed results, instead you could stress one of your preferred phenotype with some colloidal silver, and let it self-pollinate or target only a few flowers, in this way you have a lot more chance to have exactly the same plant as the one you like! Good luck!
Both๐prices are some of the best online just make sure you get stealth shipping ๐ it's a little extra but a free resend if you don't get it is worth it๐
