As recommended by the breeder, I'm germinating directly in the soil. I will be out of town for a week, so I'm using a straightforward system: small pots (5cm) with a cotton wick in the base that goes on top of a jar with water at 6.5PH. Light is set at 62cm from the soil, dimmer set to 50% (SF1000D) The seedlings would then be transplanted directly into a 56L pot with Biobizz light mix + mycorrhizae in the small area where the seedlings will be planted and super soil prepared with Flooragaard professional organic grow mix, worm humus, compost, gypsum, and coco coir.

They germinated in small pots with cotton wick irrigation for 10 days. I'm impressed that the 3 grew to the same size, all healthy. It's the first time I seen such a consistent expression of the seeds. They were transplanted into the final 56L pot.

Near to flipping time. I want to finish this growth as early as possible and having not much space, it's time for them to flip to 12/12. I found thrips and some mites (not sure which kind). Fungust gnats are unbearable. Treated again with Nematodes and ordered some DE in case I need a more drastic solution. Plants are growing fast and leaves are super thick. I'm going for a trip until Feb 3rd so I will flip today. Treated with neem oil (2ml/L) spray.

I found them like this after leaving them 4 days by their own :) Wonderful structure and very dense foliage. Can't see more than a few signs of thrip damage but things are under control. Fungus gnats on the other side are going crazy again, I will have to apply DE. I've replied preventive Neem oil (2ml / 1l) and tomorrow I might add some DE. Today 2 plants already showed their sex and there is a male who unfortunately had to be chopped (see pic for admire the beautiful plant structure). I've chopped it, heated it in the oven for some minutes to kill possible spores and insect eggs, and spread the chopped plant back on the top of the soil. And for the second plant left, I think it's a female but I still can't confirm with precision (crossing fingers).

This is oficially my second week after flipping. Small colas started to pop up. I had to tuck the bigger fan leaves cause they were blocking them and they began to look pale and weak. I'm not sure yet which I want to keep, but I'm leaving them all for now cause I still found some thrips going around despite using fresh neem oil solution sprayed every 2 or 3 days. I hope they go away after my intensive manual care and the preventive action of neem oil and diatomaceous earth. Same for the fungus gnats. They have not reduced significantly since I've used diatomaceous earth so I've decided to diversify my approach and bought some BTI tabs for watering: they are supposed to be very effective not only against mosquito larvae but also against other 'bad insects' larvae as well.

Ladies had a great start to the week! Yesterday I did some defoliation following some lollipoping-ish approach. The plant is rather short and the lower branches are already quite long, so I'm still wondering if I should keep them instead of leaving only what's in the upper half. Let's see how crowded it gets next week to decide. I've cut every fan leaf in branches pointing inwards, damaged leaves, and the little bud nodes under the half of each branch. leaf I've watered 2L with Silica and BioBloom first (Bio bloom from Biobizz 'just in case' they get a bit hungry. It's not going to have a big impact though.) Then 2 more litters after 15mins with BTI (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B002M36N22?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title). Half a tab dissolved in the 2 lts of water.
