8g - Sugar leaf
6g - popcorn/airy buds
43g - Quality Buds
I haven't included the sugar leaf In my final total, but I will update this comment once I have processed it into wax extract.
Smallest bit of bud rot after a couple of days drying, though it is likely to have appeared during the grow and not discovered. Only lost maybe a gram or two. The plant did keep quite small, but yeilded well considering it was my first proper grow.
Great fun growing it not sure if I'll be doing this exact strain again, but I know I will be trying in the 420 fastbuds range!
Hey Gandalf, I see you had some issues with overwatering as well. This was huge issue (along with poor quality soil) for me on my first grow. It was very hard for me to find the right intuition for what is enough, so I will try to help here but please keep in mind that I'm still a newby myself.
For the first two weeks i found that about 10-20ml per day is the ballpark. I use a syringe to top up and only water again after that is dry. No nutrients for first two weeks, the 1/4 of manufacturer recommendation from week 3.
From week 3 I start to add much more water in a single session (ballpark of 400-500ml). My goal is to saturate the pot and get runoff. But then it takes a couple of days to dry sufficiently before watering again is possible. In breathable pots with heat of sun in day time that takes 2-3 days. So still averaging below 200ml per day in 10l or 20l pots. You have smaller 5l pots and still doing 300ml per day for indoor grow so it might still be a bit much.
Also, you don't mention what type of lights you are using but do say that light distance to plants is 90cm which seems a bit far for even high wattage led or 1000w hps bulbs. (based on guidelines at https://growweedeasy.com/how-far-grow-lights. (don't take my word for this but may be worth seeking expert advice)
Hi @smurgrow thanks for the input!
The 300ml was more per watering session which is only every 2-3 days at the moment.
As for the light distance I am copying others from forums and hoping they are correct. Though I will experiment and put it closer!
Thanks again :)
Hi Gandalf, I honestly do not think you have an overwatering issue. If its coco in a fabric pot, you cant over water her. I actually think you are letting the media dry out too much which is affecting your root zone ppms and ph. Check out the comment I left you on your moby diary. Since both plants are exhibiting the same symptoms/patterns, I am fairly certain something wacky is going on in the root zones. Again, this is meant to be friendly encouragement not trying to be a jerk 😉
Hi Gandalf, good choice in strain, so yummy. I'd like to follow your grow, and learn how you grow her for future reference because GSC is on my list among a few others. Well g'luck I see you're well on your way.
