Bärbl

Sooo this is my second grow. Im using a homemade spacebucket and just harvested my previous plant Frank. I started with a clone from a local grow shop. Im pretty new to all this and am trying my luck with Mainlining. For anyone interested here is the link to my reddit post of the build of my bucket. https://redd.it/5vjsq3

I started topping and allready bound her down a little. She also got her first feeding with half the strength of Hesi TNT complex.

I am really amazed at how less the plant cared about beeing topped. She was just like phhh i dont care im gonna grow anyway :) . Really happy until now thinking about topping her a second time soon. Because she is allready pretty high. Gonna add Humidity and Temperature soon i just have only one have one hygrometer and thats in one of my jars for checking on the curing process of my last plant. So I added the Hygrometer now. And also topped her a second time to get 4 colas. I think I should've done that earlier because i cut a lot of big growth. But hey this plant is supposed to be my learning experiment. So because my plant was a little asymetric i pinch bent the two bigger colas. Seems like i was to harsh on one of them so when i checked on my plant a little later it snapped. I quickly taped it up and i hope it recovers. But hey mistakes happen. Im working with clones right now because its easier for me to get a single clone than to buy a bunch of seeds because im still trying out a few things and also want to try as many different strains as possible.

So its now two days after I snapped one of my stems. Its still looking good now taped up so my hopes are high that it will recover. I will wait a few more days till the next topping. Wheeeew. So Update a Week after i snapped one of my cola stems. Im really happy she recovered so well from it. I was able to top her again today and LST her down. Im not sure if i should maybe not always wait till she has so much big fan leaves till i top her again and remove all growth below and if im slowing her down with that. But like i said im experimenting and always want to be sure she recovered till i top her again. She also got another feeding from me with TNT-Complex. It seems to me this strain is a little smellier than my last (Nebula Haze) in the early stages. But not too strong so there is no recognizable smell outside the Bucket for now. Im really happy with my progress until now because it works so much better than my first grow. And also my topping works better than expected.

So 5th week is here. I did my last topping and should now have 8 colas. I will now let her grow out and Lst her some more and then let her grow out a little and see how she's growing. Im allready so fucking curious how my little topping project will turn out.

Im not staying at my apartment right now and only driving there every few days for watering. Which also explains why there are so less pictures in Week 5. She was pretty droopy 2 days prior the pictures because I underestimated her thirst. But she recovered well. I now have 8 nodes i will grow into colas. I defoliated here once more a little and will let her grow out now and mainly lst her for the next days. Wow Im having so much fun with training this plant. I fed her again today (Saturday) and fixed all colas spread apart. Im also really looking forward to see how she will grow in the nex few days and how she will fill my Bucket.

7th week. Not much to say. I lst'ed her down a little. I am going on vacation in a few days for 10 days which will be interesting. I bought a small automatic pump for watering to get her through those days. I bet when I get home I wont even recognize her anymore. I uploaded a last picture before my vacation. So there will be no updates for at least 10 days from now.

Im back from vacation and damn girl you grew. I switched her to flowering so shell not outgrow my bucket. In de next days i will look up how to correctly defoliate her a last time. My small automatic watering system worked fine or those 10 days. But for longer i would need a bigger reservoir then my bucket i use for cleaning my apartment ;) I did my best with defoliating her. I have no idea if this was enough or if i did it wrong but hey.... learning by doing. I also finally updated her height after forgetting to meassure her for a few week :)

It seems like the during the days i was on vacation my girl got a little asymmetrical. But hey there are worse things to happen :) She grew quite a bit allready after the switch to flowering and I think i will to take care of her height a little with lst because there is not much growth in the middle and the highest cola is nearly at my grow light.

Man I love this time of the grow. She pretty much finished stretching. And now you can see the first flowers foming. Im also very excited to see how the smell will develope. Because right now its not that bad but I am pretty sure she will soon start to really smell.

Aww man the buds are getting bigger and bigger. It feels like you can watch them grow fatter. A very interesting smell starts developing and i think in a few days i will need to pop open a new ona block^^.

I cut off a few yellow leafs and also some leafs which were blocking budsites from the light. I also bent one of the colas slightly to the side because it was growing a little aside from the light.

13. Week. We are getting closer. She is developing a wonderfull smell. I have a little light burn on one of my buds because it was really close to my grow light. I took some pictures closer to the buds of the plant. Im sorry the pictures are not better but my phones camera is pretty crappy :) . She is a little yellowing. I am not sure if this is already because she is getting in to later flowering now or if she has some kind of deficiency. But right now I am feeding her every second watering. After a lot of reading I am still not 100% sure why a lot of my leafes where turning yellow and dying. But I am pretty sure its not of too less feeding so I tried a flush this time. On the last pictures she looks pretty sad because she was pretty dry when I watered her. She was straight up in no time after the watering. She is looking pretty good right now. The Buds are allready pretty sparkly. So I will probably carry on watering her with plain water till the harvest.

Looking a lot better now after the Flush. I allready have my ona block opened up because otherwise you would propably smell her in my whole apartement. On two colas the leafes are turning really purple.

It's getting close guys. I took a look at my trichomes and i think it wont take much longer than a week from now till harvest. Her smell is pretty strong now, but wonderful. Im allready looking forward to the harvest. Right now 2 colas are turning pretty purple. She also is reeeeallly sticky. Sadly I cant really take trichome pictures because i only have a small jeweller scope thingy. And my phone does not cooperate with that camera wise.

I will definitely harvest this week. It seems like shes only bud right now. Im really looking forward to harvest. I always like the work of trimming. Its kinda relaxing for me. Her smell is really intense and without my carbon filter and ona block i think my whole apartment would smell.

Its done. Oh my god. What an experience. I finally cut her down. After 121 Days in her new home. Bärbl wandered off in the forever happy hunting grounds of weed. I loved growing this plant. I learned so much about training and my plant. I am really fond of growing. Its one of the few hobbies where you can really watch your progress and see your improvements. I am allready looking forward to my next grow (Spoilers: Will be my first time from seed) which I of course will link in this post and document on Growdiaries. It was a lot of fun for me documenting the whole process on here. This site and the community here is just really awesome. I will of course update weight smell and taste as soon as i have the possibility to taste it. I finally got a new phone which means there are now improved pictures of my Harvest. After an 3 hour trimming session Bärbl is now hanging to dry in my empty bucket getting ready for curing.
