Brocolis_Grow_Br This plant isn't originally mine. Another person bought the supplies, germinated it, and took care of it for a while. When they realized they didn't want to continue, they ended up giving it to me, and I just kept it going. A soil from Tropikali was used, but I have no idea which one. It was placed in a 9-liter pot, but it has expanded clay at the bottom and a lot of space at the top of the pot (about 12 cm below). In a larger pot, it wouldn't be a problem, but I think it has about 5 liters of soil to grow effectively, which I think is too little for it, but I didn't think it was worth changing because the risk of stunting it or causing more issues was high. It showed its first true leaf on 03/11/2024, so this is where I like to start counting.

Brocolis_Grow_Br It opened its first leaves beautifully. It didn't show any signs of stretching even being here inside an apartment without a balcony (I have no idea about the light conditions).

Brocolis_Grow_Br It was right after that it came into my hands. It was looking cute but clearly could handle a more intense sun to speed up that growth.

Brocolis_Grow_Br As soon as I got it, I put it in full sun as much as possible. I was a bit scared to just throw it out there and burn the plant somehow, but nothing happened. It's really starting to develop well now outdoors (it was in a closed apartment until now).

Brocolis_Grow_Br It entered the flowering stage but I didn't note the date. Luckily, it's quite small but very dense; I've never achieved this with a plant, it being so compact and full. It's a small plant, I think it won't yield more than 15/20g, but I could be wrong since I've never dealt with this density. I'm a bit scared because of humidity since the rainy season has already arrived, and those dense buds outside aren't ideal.

Brocolis_Grow_Br Everything is going well, she's getting thirstier every day. This Tropikali substrate is quite hydrophobic, and even though she's in a plastic pot and getting about 4/6 hours of direct sunlight a day, with alternating rainy days, she's been drying out a bit and asking for water. I haven't noticed any smell coming from her, but the buds are beautiful. The lower leaves are yellowing at a speed that's bothering me a bit, but the only thing I've done is add a little bit of organic compost that I produce here in the compost bin. I don't want to use anything mineral, and I also don't have money to buy liquid organic fertilizer, so it is what it is.

Brocolis_Grow_Br It's been raining a lot and she's taken some big showers. I noticed that even though the pot is plastic and only 9 liters, this Tropikali soil dries out really fast. I had about 2 days where she started to wilt. She began showing some signs of pests and also had about 3 spots of mold. There's not much I can do since I can't control the rain and I can't move her without drawing attention, so it will stay like this. I removed the moldy parts, added a mulch cover to see if I can hold more moisture in the soil, and we'll see how it goes. She's going to have a really small harvest but still has some really nice buds. I've never had such a small plant; it feels like I cut the top bud off a decent-sized auto and stuck it in the ground. I think I still have at least 2/3 weeks ahead. She's completely odorless, which I found strange. The sun has already changed position around here, so she's been getting very little direct sunlight each day, maybe only about 4 hours.

Brocolis_Grow_Br A lot of rain! I had some issues with whiteflies and cicadas, the leaves were affected but she has beautiful buds, finally starting to resin up more. I don't smell anything coming from her, which doesn't seem like a good sign. She's 86 days old, all the trichomes are still transparent. Small but well-formed buds.

Brocolis_Grow_Br She's been progressing at a slow pace, but she's moving. The buds have started to get quite dense. She's completely odorless, which I consider pretty bad. She went through a super attack of everything. A direct reflection of poor nutrition. This plant shouldn't have been planted in a 9-liter pot, with a layer (I don't know the size) of expanded clay, so there's even less than 9 liters of soil. I know everyone talks about 1 liter of soil (when using something like super soil) for each week of life. In this case, I guess there's no more than 7 liters of soil here. Since we're in the thirteenth week, this plant has been starving for a while. I've been fertilizing with a humus that I prepare here and evaluated more carefully. The leaves have been completely attacked by white flies, some little black spots (I don't even know what they are), and I've noticed some leafhoppers too. Anyway, I had to defoliate her a bit (which in the current state won't help much), but more to eliminate as many pests as possible. I even thought about spraying something, like vinegar and soap, but that would definitely affect the flowers and the resins (I've done that before and I think it affected the flower). The trichomes are now starting to turn white, some are already amber, but in ideal conditions, I think this plant would take another two weeks maybe. I'm going to hold on as much as I can and monitor the pest situation every day. I had to remove 2 buds due to bud rot. As she's getting dense and it's been raining a lot and continuously for some weeks, it's hard to dry completely. Given the current situation, if it goes beyond another week, I risk losing more buds.

Happy Harvest Day!

Brocolis_Grow_Br Reaching the end of this harvest as I mentioned last week, due to pests. They are already at an almost uncontrollable level, and I knew I would lose some to mold since it rained a lot and the buds are dense. I harvested 71g, discarded maybe about 2g right away. It dried in somewhat poor conditions, as the very hot and humid days continued. In the end, the plant looked nice and dense, even though it was small. I ended up with 13g dry, with 4g going to the trash due to mold. The amount was super low, but I did a test in the vape and really liked it. Even with all the troubles it went through, the final product still turned out pretty cool, which already motivates me to do it again but now with different care and indoors.
