Dead Lot (Chemmdogging x 505 Headbanger) - Mephisto Genetics Tester
Seed starts it's life in a wet paper, inside a ziploc. After successful germination, the seedling will be moved into a nursery sleeve that contains Build-a-Soil Light. The seedlings are generally coved with a plastic water bottle to keep humidity up until transplant.
Directly after 'transplant'. Full nursery sleeve placed into 5 gallon of coco when tap root hits bottom of sleeve. Picture is directly after transplant.
Day 14. Water halo's added on day 10, increasing water per day. Out of the plants this run, this was right in the middle of size starting out. Nothing crazy but showing some promise early with how healthy it was looking.
Day 22. Showing some decent vertical growth along with throwing more side branches out than the other 505 Headbanger cross (Cantina Band) I ran in coco. Took to leave tucking very well which starts allowing a nice bush that doesn't seem like it will be too compact.
Day 31. Not showing a lot of size and the smallest in the tent currently. Nodal spacing is allowing a good amount of light penetration in the canopy compared to some of the bushier coco plants. Kind of worried this one might end up being a runt. Cut lower branches that didn't seem like they were going to do much.
Day 45. Had 3 nanners on the main cola, and 1 one another. I'm chalking this up to the explosive growth during stretch that might have ended up with too high of a DLI. Removed nanners with tweezer that were soaked in iso alcohol. Scoured the entire plant and couldn't find any more. A lot of tight packed pistils are piling onto the branches rather quickly.
Day 52. Super chonky and frost.. Hard to get pictures with it's position in the tent, but there are videos on my youtube of the full tent. You can see where the light intensity might have been too high from the slightly discolored canopy
Day 57. Easy goings. Chunky monster. Can't wait to get this one out in the open and see how many large colas it produced. Really hard to judge it's size with it's spot in the tent unfortunately. Looks like it's going to be the largest 505 Headbanger cross, and the largest plant out of this entire tester run. The denser the nugs get, the more worried I am about air flow so will pluck some leaves on the lowers and middle when possible, but no sooner than 5 days between trimming, don't want more nanners.
Day 64. Running a little more light intensity than wanted, but needed it to make sure the plants that are slightly shorted got enough light. With how much this will end up with, I wasn't too concerned with a less than perfect product to make sure the other plants were going to be fine. Usually I raise plants that are lower, but I was lazy this round.
Day 71. And I can tell that out of all the coco testers, this will be the last pulled. Super chunky and just seems to keep stacking pistils every where. I've reduced nitrogen quite a bit over the past several weeks with very little effect. Down to 1 gram of Jacks part B per gallon.
Day 78. Decent amount of defoliation but still pretty nervous after those early nanners so don't want to stress too hard. Doesn't seem like it's swelling up anymore, slight fox tailing on the nugs that did have the nanners but nothing drastic.
Chopped day 83. Fat colas with a good amount of frost. Could have probably let this one go a bit longer but needed to start cleaning up the area for the next run of testers. Plants like this will keep your cannabis reserve stocked up for the next year by itself. Spicey, dank, rotten meat.
