Day one:
Popped these ladies in a cup of spring water till they sunk then placed in paper towel to finish off the germination process. Last night I put them in the soil and today they are already starting to show some progress. Hoping by tonight one of them will break the soil.
Day two: already showing her true leaves. Second seed still hasn’t popped out the soil yet.
DAY THREE: she’s healthy and has grown about a quarter of an inch. Second seed still under the soil gonna give it a two more days till I give it a peek however when it germinated it looked a little funky like it was almost completely out of the shell and had some black spots on it unfortunately no pictures of it fingers crossed it’s always the ones that make you work harder
Day four: no issues she’s a perfect hight might put a little voodoo juice in her next watering just a micro dose to get them roots going faster and stronger other then that I might use some sensizym here and there but for the most part I’m not gonna give her to many nutes if any until flowering by then the soil should be about depleted of it’s nutrients and or not viable for her needs.
Update on the second plant… RIP she spouted so no problems with germination just didn’t have the umph to break through the soil have the cotyledons had turned brown from not being able to get through. I didn’t pack the soil so i have no idea what happened here. You win some you lose some, so I popped a lsd-25 from fast buds into some water to take the place of the second gelat.OG didn’t want to cause don’t have the room for it but its winter and I heard it does better in cold environments.
Day five: gave her some water with a microdose of voodoojuice hoping to see new leaves tomorrow been running a 24 hour light cycle to keep heat in the tent and I have it under a heat mat managing to keep the tent at 73 degree Fahrenheit so far everything is going well.
Day six: nothing noticeable to report
Day seven some serious growth however just not starting to push out second node I have no experience with autos so idk if she stunted but I’m keeping her as warm as I can she still under heat pad and I’m keeping it about 75 in the tent lights on lights off is about 45-50
Day 8-9:Everything is looking great shes just now pushing her second pair of leaves.
Day10: gonna be some big ol leaves
Day 11: she pushed out a lot of growth today just from a 8 hour shift and she’s grew half an inch taller and her leaves doubled in size I was worried I stunted her with the Arctic freeze we had for 3 days but i think she’s gonna do just fine still not expecting anything over 28g but hoping for the best she has the whole tent to herself for now other then some clones.
Day 12: she’s been let loose and is now doubling in growth past two days thinking I might introduce some more nutes soon just so she’s familiar with them but the soil is pre amended so should be good for the first month or so I just don’t want to potentially have anything go wrong by feeding nutes down the road and not react well to them. I’ve heard it both ways hardly any nutes and some say if your gonna do it go hard in the beginning and level out.
Day 15: she’s looking good no hiccups yet weather is gonna get into freezing temps might bring her inside so no progress is stunted
Day 16: tonight is gonna be the worst of the temps hoping for the best don’t have any room in the house for it but the heat pad should keep the roots regulated.
Day 17: she’s almost ready for some LST
Day 18: tip of first set of leaves touched soil and it did not like that sadly the warmest I’m able to keep the tent is 65 not ideal at this stage she’s not making much progress in height but the fan leaves are huge.
Day 19-21: still pushing out just as much growth started LST on day 21
Day22: Start of week three she’s healthy and still at it second day of some lst gonna let it grow out for two days then tie it down to the other side.
My guess is she gonna start flowering in two weeks or so but I’ve never grown an auto so it’s all new to me
Day23: she’s responding very well to the training I’ll give her till Wednesday till I do any more LST not a fan of using the fiber pots for tying down usually with photos I can do all my training then transplant into final home so first time training in the fabric pot it’s not really wanting to stay down so I keep having to adjust it.
Day 24: I’m in love with how big her fan leaves have become and they keep getting bigger. Everything is evening out nicely tomorrow I’ll adjust the tie down and add another if the branches are ready. Started seeing some yellow spotting might need to add a little more nutes but still under half the recommended dose.
Day25: started staking down a few other branches so far only one node is t getting light but I’m managing to get light to 99% of them so all is well gave her a watering today but no nutes gonna wait till next watering. She’s healthy I’m happy.
Day26: it’s getting pretty crowded wanted to wait as long as I could to defoliate the big fan leaves don’t want to put any unnecessary stress on her specially when she’s doing so good maybe in 3-4 days I will.
Day27: unfortunately had to defoliate a little earlier then planned got so crowded ended up accidentally snapping a branch clean off trying to tuck the leaves and it was overlaying it so yeah sad day but I still got hope for a decent yield.
Day29: stilli kicking myself over the Broken branch but at this point nothing I can do and I am getting more light to more nodes now so can’t complain but it hurts my soul
Days 30-33: she’s filled out the width of the five gallon pot and just on time as well she’s starting to show signs that she’s flipping to flower
Days 34-35: I believe she’s now in flower she’s developing pistols and has that stiffness I’m gonna pull the stakes out soon and let her grow not the best shape should have done it earlier but everything I had researched for the most part said 5th to 6th node is best for training without adding stress next time I’ll see how far I can take it. I’m guessing this time next week she’ll be in full flower. Other than all that she’s doing just fine and is Beautiful and luscious. Still shooting for an oz max just cause it’s my first auto.
Day 36: she’s flipped to flower so imma give her a few days and I’ll start introducing more nutrients.
Day37: oh yeah she’s popping some of the longest pistols I’ve ever seen.
Day 38: fed her nutes today. She definitely needing it.
Day39: she’s almost out of pre flower and looking good I’m surprised at her hight I thought maybe she’d grow a little taller.
Day40: I spoke to soon she’s doubled in height so maybe there’s hope yet noticed my tips looking almost burnt so I’ll be keeping a close eye on that. Other then that for my first auto grow I’m happy so far.
