So this is my first grow. I started tracking this in excel and didn't really take a ton of photos for the first couple of weeks, but I did take some notes.
3 seeds were dropped into water for about 3 hours until they sank, then added to a wet paper towel where they remained for about 24 hours until the tails were about 0.5in long. After 24 hours they were showing signs of tails and were transferred to a jiffy pellet. No nutrients were provided during germination stage. I used ph'd distilled water from Ralphs. Humidity was kept at ~70% and a humidity dome was used until the seed head was up. Humidity dome was removed on day 5 after the plants caps were up, but should have removed it earlier. After about 7 days the plants were transitioned to veg, with both cotyledons popped on each plant. One plant was given to my roommate and quickly devoured by her cat :(
Didn't take a ton of notes until week 3 - just watched 'em grow. My note from day 19 says "Both plants at about the third node. Will be time to transplant to 5 gals soon. Have been using the recommended nutrient ratios from the floragrow/bloom/micro series bottles. Transplanted to their 5 gallon homes on day 24, which the plants reacted to well.
Lots of growth this week. Lots of growth this week, staying pretty bushy though. At this point I was wondering if they would stretch much (...that didn't end up being a problem). Topped the plants on day 28.
More progress this week. Just letting them veg :) Note from day 33: "Both plants have recovered well after topping. Lots of foliage on both - probably a week to flip. Unsure yet what method to use for defoliation…"
Plants stretched a good bit this week. First week of flower, so I guess that's expected. No photos this week :( Enjoy another public art piece from my Alaska trip.
Starting to get frosty :) Hopefully we are done stretching because I cant raise the lamp much further. Tons of larger buds coming in along the main stems with smaller ones all over.
Plants on autopilot besides the feeding. Was starting to get worried about lightening in plant 1, but don't think it's going to be a problem...just need to keep an eye on it. Poeple I asked online said NBD.
