I'm back! And with a solo cup challenge at that. First time trying this, so here goes nothing. Normally I steer clear of autos, but I got some freebies and decided to solo these girls. Planted into coco after germination with a splash of Gaia 444, worm castings, and Extreme Mykos. Originally, I was going to do a 3 part synthetic line from Fox Farm, but I gifted the set to someone. So, we're going organic 😃 Clear solo insert so I can check root development. I'll also be doing a test of a foliar feeding product line from Optic Foliar. Let's grow!

First week is a little staggered due to the first seed failing, but we made it to day 4 since sprouting. Honestly wouldn't call it week 1 of veg, but I didn't want to keep adding to the germination week. Got her first dose of water today to get those new roots stretching (I've been spritzing the top soil and dome until now). So far, so good.

Week 2 for the solo Afghani went smooth. Looked a little slow to develop her first proper set of leaves, but the root development should help speed up her progression. Still feeding off the slow release 444 and is now regularly drinking about 2oz of water every other day. I also spritz the bottom of the outer cup to keep moisture levels high for stretching roots. She's about 36" from the light. Hoping to get a little stretch to make training easier. Added a couple new pics to get the week caught up. Stay tuned, week 3 starts training.

Week 3 for the solo is officially complete. She's been growing with no trouble. Root development has been excellent. As you can see, I decided to mainline. Seeing as she's in a solo cup, I'm not too worried about stunting. I'm horrible at measuring the water intake, but the cup needs to be watered daily. It's as lite as a feather everyday.

Week 4 in the books. She started throwing pistils this week. Cruising along and handling the training like a champ. She's drinking about a cup of water daily and her roots are thriving in the runoff caught in the 2nd cup, which gets dumped before each new watering. Strong structure and starting to get a little smell. She smelled like celery leaves up to this point. I've raised her closer to the light to increase light intensity.

The Afghani x Mac1 auto from DNA recovered well from the training and is in full bloom. Bud sites are looking great. Had an issue with humidity this week and the leaves started looking rough. She got a dose of Recharge this week and drinks about 8-12oz of water throughout each day. All in all she's trucking right along. Very happy with how smooth this solo cup grow is going.

Another week of flower in the books. The Afghani x Mac1 auto is finally starting to get some terp production and smelling like exotic fruit...papaya leaning. She's drinking water multiple times a day, and I've honestly stopped measuring. I give her water when she's light, and that's about twice a day. She was also top dressed this week with 1tsp of 284 bloom and 1tbsp of guano.

Another week gone by and the Afghani x Mac1 auto is developing resinous, fruity flowers. Top dressing coming soon, but it looks like I'm late. She's eating and drinking more than I expected.

This week the Afghani x Mac1 put the terps into overdrive, smelling like fruit and a little gasoline. Giving a little sting in the nostrils by the 3rd sniff. Very resinous and sticky. A couple leaves died due to the late feeding so she got a little haircut. She also top dressed with 1/2 tsp 284 and 2 tbsp worm castings, and watered in a dose of Recharge.

The solo cup Afghani x Mac1 from DNA Junkies is coming to an end. These sticky buds are starting to fade and turning a blueish purple. The smell is strong. Very fruit forward with petrol. Still feeding off the last top dressing.
