Hello All, so I have 2 Diaries here 1-Critical purple 2-Tangerine Dream (this one) the other diary kind of included this too BUT. While I was trying to figure out trichomes on my critical purple, I realized I neglected looking at TD’s trichomes and bam! Instantly I realized what “milky trichomes” are and I realized my TD is ready to harvest it was a surprise because I was super focused on CPs (which LOOK more mature btw) So altho It’s going to be a short diary I still wanted to share for knowledge base Flushing tonight and will harvest this in 2 days. Trichome photos coming tomorrow!

Opinions about partial harvest? It seems like I can harvest main cola and 4 buds. Would the rest fatten up later?

Buds. Not fattening

Yes, most plants mature faster on the top colas. The lower ones will mature slower down the plant. Technically you can harvest each bud at the exact trichome percentage you want. The only issue with that is your dryer buds will absorb some moisture from the fresher buds if you jar them together for curing and dry the newer buds faster. Honestly, wont cause much noticable difference though.

The perfect state of trichome maturity is a personal matter, like an ice cream flavor. I may prefer vanilla, and you chocolate. And if you have no personal frame of reference for what you like yet, then you must rely upon the advice of others as a starting point. And it can be strain dependent. So you have selected all milky as your target, and you should harvest. Or as Painted suggested, take some and leave others. I’ve harvested at every stage, and have learned I like a fairly mature stone in which about half the trichs are amber. Enjoy growing and your harvest!
