@organic_herbalist hi mate I have the afghan hash plant seeds just wondering how many males did you get from this lot and how soon did they show their sex?
@DILLIGAF,hello,
In general, it is said that 66.66% of the plants are female.
The rest is due to the conditions you place.
Factors such as stress, light pollution (curiosity), red light affect them to become more masculine.
Everything else is mainly up to you as they develop or what gender they accept.
Explanation for this is that in bad conditions rather male arise in order to have evolutionary better chances of survival or so that they receive the species.
It's just that way and nobody will be able to change that in a natural way, but if you know it, nature is on your side: D
To the disadvantage of the grower who usually wants to have buds not semenbuds.nature has also brought us forward so we should appreciate and honor everything she does for us and how she does it. :)
Important that you wait for the pre-bloom and to be really sure that you do not select female ones I recommend from the initiation of the flowering periodically to look at them and gradually remove them when you recognize the sex.
my first time with regular seeds I have waited too long and the second time I was too sure and have unfortunately also caught some female. but that comes with the experience.
Hope I could help :)
