The single seed I planted germinated without any hiccups. Broke the surface before 72h had elapsed.

During this week she had rooted far enough through her 0.5L birthpot to relocate her into 1.5L with some fresh medium nutrient soil mix.

Plant grew very vigorously and could be repotted again at the end of this week. This time into her 15L AirPot where she will stay until harvest.

Started the week with a little fanleaf defoliation to get some light on the lateral branches. Due to the proximity to the light source as well as the high-ish light intensity she didnt stretch a lot, which I like. At the end of the week she was ready to be topped - flower initiation is coming after a few days of acclimatization.

Lateral branches stretch as intended after main stem apical dominance was removed. Defoliating every other day now. Hanukkiah-ish structure coming in nicely.

Light set to 13/11. Looks like the lateral branches will just about create an even canopy when flowering stretch is done. (Hindsight: This is where I should have paid closer attention to ph and calcium availability. There wasn't much cal in this soil mix and ph dropping lower than intended - some leaf necrosis incoming) Still defoliating.

Plants slowly starting to flower. To initiate flower I shorten the duration they get light every day by 1-2 hours, so for instance: 19 - 17 - 15 - 13 .. I once read that this stresses the plant less than doing one big switch. I have no evidence either way but trying to mimic nature in this regard appears the prudent thing to do. Still defoliating.

Tangie now fully in flower. She appears moderately stretchy.. and I'm still defoliating to help with light/airflow. One of the other plants started showing signs of deficiency so all plants got a little higher ph when watering. Also top-dressed them with powdered dolomitic lime.

..aaaand liftoff ! =) From this point on I also had to remove leafs coming directly out of the buds. Some for airflow improvement.. but some had deficiency induced necrosis spots which are dangerous starting sites for botrytis - so they had to go. Also.. as the flower stretch is mostly behind us, I can finally use some Sumo Active Boost 😊

Buds cultivating mass like Fat Mac! :) I also think this is where I could finally stop plucking leafs every other day.

Topping + flower-initiation-time resulted in just about the ideal plant structure for my taste. The other plants reacted very similar so I'll keep using this method for now. (Until something goes wrong I guess) At this point the other plants had lots of orange pistils showing already - Tangie for some reason didn't have one. All white. Kind of pretty to look at, I wonder about the reason for this.

I think these were some of the prettiest buds I've had until then. Nice trichome production and the pistils for some reason are still completely white. I had to be really careful moving the plant though, as the colas were already very heavy and swinging donkey-dick-style everytime I just nudged the pot. Tangie had been smelling for a while, but at this point the smell got very noticeable. Charcoal filter took care of it nicely though - at least while the tent wasn't open ;)

This is the point where Tangie pulled a reverse-ugly-duckling on me. The ripening of the buds unfortunately came at the cost of their beauty. If the trichomes at this point would have been mostly cloudy I think I would have maybe considered harvesting right then. Alas, they weren't.. too many were still clear. Almost none amber.

Finally trichomes were milky enough to harvest. Not very leafy so trimming wasn't a pain. (There was a LOT of it though so the whole thing still took quite a while) Thank you for your interest! I hope you enjoyed this one! Dan
