Appoldro420 Title: Chocolate Haze - Week 1 Growth Begins! 🌱 Hey everyone! First off, I have to say I’m not a huge fan of the new GrowDiaries layout. It’s far from ideal, but I’ll try to get used to it. Hopefully, they iron out the bugs soon because right now, it’s a bit frustrating to navigate. Now, onto the grow! Today marks Day 1 of Week 1 (Veg) for my Chocolate Haze run from Royal Queen Seeds. I’m starting straight on a 12/12 light schedule to keep things efficient. Out of the 12 seeds, 11 made it through germination, but unfortunately, I accidentally took out number 12—RIP little one. 😅 The Blumats are up and running, keeping things nice and stable. Temperature is looking good, and everything seems to be off to a solid start. I’ve attached two photos of the seedlings—let me know what you think! One of them is stretching a bit, but overall, they look happy. Excited to see how they progress. Happy growing, everyone! 🌿🔥 #ChocolateHaze #RoyalQueenSeeds #12/12FromSeed #GrowDiaries #Blumats #Week1 24/02 Week 1 – Smooth Start! 🚀 The Chocolate Haze ladies from RQS are off to an easy start—so far, so good! Curious to see if they’ll keep behaving or if they’ll throw me a curveball later. 😅 Ready for week 2 of veg! So far, they’re staying pretty compact and looking a bit on the lighter side. Might need to up the feed a little, although they were watered in at pH 6.8, so maybe that’s part of it? 🤔 Got 10 plants growing at about the same pace, with one playing the rebel and lagging behind. What’s really catching my eye is how many leaf fingers they already have—these girls aren’t wasting any time! 🌱🖖 Swapped out the AC Infinity T6 Cloudline for a 700 m³/h softbox, which can run at a lower speed with less noise. Still debating CO₂ or no CO₂, so I wanted to keep my options open before the tent becomes a jungle. Oh, and if you’re wondering about the three extra pots—they’re for my other grow, Do-Si-Dos Auto (RQS). Those seeds are still getting their beauty sleep, so check my other diary for that adventure. 😉 On to week 2—let’s see what these Chocolate Hazes have in store! 🍫🔥 26/02 lowered PH, upped the EC

Appoldro420 03/01 Week 2 - Day 1 EC has been increased to 1.7, while pH remains stable at 5.8. The plant is showing some signs of deficiencies (as seen in the photo), so I supplemented a bit by hand to help it recover. I often experience a slow start when growing in coco, but based on my experience, once the roots reach the bottom, the growth really takes off. Hoping to see some improvements in the next few days! 🌱💪 Let’s see how she responds! 🚀 8/03 - Week 2, Day 3 Update She’s starting to bounce back! 🌱🔥 The new growth is looking a bit healthier, and I’m noticing a slight improvement in overall color. The lower leaves are still showing some signs of deficiency, but that’s expected as she recovers. The increased EC at 1.7 seems to be helping, and pH is holding steady at 5.8, which is great. I’ll keep monitoring closely to ensure she’s getting everything she needs. Coco can be a bit slow early on, but once those roots establish, we should see some explosive growth. 🚀 I’ll be keeping an eye on how she responds over the next few days—hoping to see some deepening green and stronger development soon! Let’s go! 💪🌱 #CocoGrow #CannabisCultivation #HealthyRoots

Appoldro420 Doing great now. Higher level of nutrition seem to be a good idea. 16/03: Grow Update 🌱💚 – First Pistils Showing! We’re back in full swing! The first pistils are visible… time to let them stretch! 🌿💨 The new growth looks nice and healthy, so I’ll be doing a reservoir change tonight. pH has dropped a bit, and the nutrient temp has gone up slightly. Plus, she’s three weeks old now. I always do my first full res change after three weeks since the solution sits in the tank for quite a while without top-ups. The autos are also coming along nicely, but I’ll cover that in another update. I’m getting more convinced that plants flip to flower as soon as their roots hit the bottom in a 12/12 cycle. Loving how easy this grow is—full access from all sides, no need to hang over a net, and I can easily catch any issues early. Might top them all tonight before they go into full bloom. Shouldn’t be a problem, and it’ll help keep them a bit shorter. On to the next phase! 🚀🔥 #GrowDiaries #CannabisCommunity #FloweringStage #HomeGrow #ToppingAndStretching 19/03 Topped them all to close the vegetation stage.. Tomorrow day one flower

Appoldro420 19/03: Grow Update 🌱 – Week 1 of Flower! Calling it week 1 of flower since the first pistils have shown up! 🚀 Everything is on track, and the plants are reacting well to the topping. Some cuts are cleaner than others, but overall, they should recover nicely and start pushing out that bushy growth soon. Now it’s just a waiting game—stretch, stack, and bloom! 🌿💚 #GrowDiaries #Week1Flower #ToppingResults #CannabisTraining #HomeGrow 22/03: Chocolate Haze Grow Update The plants are coming along nicely! Still a bit light in color, but since the pH is in check, I’m increasing the EC to a total of 2.1. I’ll keep it there for about two days, and if all goes as planned, it should drop to around 1.8 as I top off with fresh water. They’ve got a solid structure with strong, even growth. The slightly lighter green suggests they’ll benefit from the nutrient boost. I also noticed some water droplets on the leaves from spraying—nothing to worry about, but I’ll keep an eye on the lights to avoid any potential burn. Overall, things are looking great! Let’s see how they react to the EC adjustment. 💪🌱 #ChocolateHaze #CannabisGrow #Hydroponics #OrganicGrowing

Appoldro420 27/03 🔥 Week 2 Flower – Bushy & Booming! 🌿 Here we go—Week 2 of Flower, and things are starting to stack up nicely! Someone mentioned these sativas looked a bit bushy, so I grabbed some shots to show the structure better. And yeah… they definitely filled out more than expected, but I’m not complaining! They’re still small but speedy, which works perfectly for my setup. If I can keep flipping new strains like this, I might get smaller yields per plant, but I get to try more genetics more often—which, let’s be honest, is half the fun. If all goes well, I might even be able to squeeze in one last run after this one. And of course, I’ve already spotted a few strains that are calling my name. 😏 The biggest surprise? The tent is way fuller than expected for 12/12 from seed with zero training! The canopy is tighter than my last SCROG, which is crazy considering I just let them do their thing. Now it's all about watching the stretch, keeping nutrients in check, and letting them build up those buds over the next 7 weeks. Let’s see what they do next! 🚀🌱 #BushySativas #FastGrowers #NoTrainingNoProblem #Week2Flower #GrowDiaries 31/03: Added some pictures from above

Appoldro420 03/04: Chocolate Haze: The Tease The grow tent hums softly, filled with the scent of fresh green life. The air is warm, thick with humidity, wrapping around me like a lover’s breath. And there she stands—Chocolate Haze—young, eager, on the verge of something spectacular. Her leaves reach out, spreading wide as if craving my touch. Her buds, though still small, are full of promise. Tiny white hairs stretch towards the light, delicate yet determined, whispering, "Just wait… I’m not ready yet, but soon… so soon." I lean in, my fingers brushing against her stems, feeling the gentle tackiness of early resin forming. The scent is subtle but intoxicating—hints of chocolate and citrus teasing my senses, making me crave the moment when she will fully blossom. For now, she is a tease—a beautiful, untamed seductress in the making. She wants time. She needs patience. And I will give her both, knowing that when the moment comes, when her buds swell and her trichomes glisten like morning dew, she will be everything I’ve dreamed of… and more. Chocolate Haze, my sweet temptation, my slow-burning desire.

Appoldro420 Height: 60–80 cm EC: Bumped to 2.0 pH: Chillin' at 5.6 Humidity: Rock steady at 45% Hey hey grow fam 👋 We’re cruisin’ into week 7 and things are gettin’ real frosty in here. These ladies are lovin’ life under the LEDs – stacking nugs, pushin’ pistils, and throwin' out that loud aroma. Tent smells like a sticky sweet dream right now 🍬🔥 This week I gave ‘em a bit of a haircut – little defoliation session to open things up and let that sweet light hit the lower buds. Gotta let the whole squad shine, you feel me? ✂️🌞 💦 Had a bit of an oopsie with the Blumat dripper – thing stayed open and straight-up flooded two of the girls. But yo... plot twist... they actually seem to love it. Like, they’re puffin’ up more than the rest. Happy accidents, man. Kinda like finding an extra nug in your jar 💚 Nutrients got a little spicier this week – raised the EC to 2.0, and they’re takin’ it like champs. pH dropped to 5.6, which I’ll watch, but ain’t sweatin’ it. Everything’s still vibin’ in the right range. Tent is sittin’ real nice – canopy’s even, plants are rockin’ that 60–80 cm height, and the LEDs are doin' work. We’re dialed in and just ridin' this flowering wave 🌊🌺

Appoldro420 🍫🌿 Chocolate Haze – Week 8: Trimmed, Fed & Vibin’ Week 8 check-in, and these Chocolate Haze ladies are stretching harder than my excuses when I forget to water them. Planted on February 1st, grown under LEDs bright enough to interrogate a tomato. Four days ago I gave them a light defoliation – not a full haircut, just a little trim, like tidying up before a hot date with a UVB lamp. They’re bouncing back nicely, like stoned thoughts after a long nap: a little slow, but with purpose. Cranked the EC up to 2.0 because they were hungrier than me in front of an open fridge at 3 AM. Naturally, the pH slid down to 5.6 – we’re riding that acidic wave like it’s a lo-fi beat with no drops but all the vibe. The strain? Chocolate Haze by RQS. 95% sativa, 5% indica, 100% chaos. This plant doesn’t chill – it narrates documentaries in your head while your feet try to moonwalk on hardwood. Smell’s starting to creep in too… like chocolate and citrus had a funky little baby and named it "Friday Afternoon." 📸 Photos: Bud close-up – trichomes sparkling like disco balls in a foggy brain. Full tent overview – symmetry so clean, NASA might start a mission here. Side angle post-defoliation – fan leaves doing yoga, stretching back into position. Next update? When I remember what day it is. Until then: keep your roots wet and your thoughts weird. ✌️🌱 17/04: We’re a solid stretch into flower now, and these girls are thriving. Buds are really starting to stack up, and those white hairs are going wild. You can see the colas stretching tall with a nice even canopy—super satisfying to watch them fill out like this. The leaves are looking lush and healthy, and the whole tent is smelling amazing. There’s already a sweet, earthy scent in the air with a little chocolatey twist sneaking in—can’t wait to see how that aroma develops. The trichomes are sparkling under the lights, and the buds are getting chunkier by the day. Everything feels super dialed in right now, just letting the plants do their thing and enjoying the show. That’s it for now—things are cruising along and the Chocolate Haze is showing tons of potential. Catch you all in the next update!

Appoldro420 Strain: Chocolate Haze (Royal Queen Seeds) Medium: Coco bricks (Action budget bricks – hell yeah 💰) Light cycle: 12/12 from seed Grow Style: No training, no stress – just flow Grow Medium Prep: 500L of coco – never again in one go 😅 The Kickoff 🚀 This run started off wild and direct – no veg time, straight into 12/12 with Chocolate Haze. I wanted a quick turnaround and thought, hey, why wait? I germinated 14 seeds, hoping for at least 9 strong ladies. Ended up with 11 survivors – not bad! First few weeks were a bit chaotic: stretching due to low light (I tucked the seedlings under mature plants, which I do not recommend 😆), and the coco prep took way longer than expected. But hey, that's the game. Early Veg/Bloom — Lessons Learned pH: Started a bit high; some light green leaves at first EC: Too low at 1.3 — they weren't having it. Upped to 1.7 and then to 2.1 later Environment: New extractor dropped temps way down (25°C vs my usual 30°C). Thought it would help, but growth felt slower Coco quirks: They looked overwatered at times, but coco is tricky like that. Eventually, roots hit the bottom and they took off Around mid-March (3 weeks in), pistils showed up – officially the start of flower. I topped them once just before full bloom kicked in. Always a strange move, cutting healthy plants... but they bounced back beautifully. Nice and bushy now. Week 2–5 Flowering 🌸 These ladies are small but mighty. Not tall, but full of energy. The canopy is tight and even (except for one shorty), and they've been stretching like crazy — classic sativa move. Had to raise the lights twice in two days. I’ll probably do some defoliation soon to slow things down a bit. Environment is now dialed in: Temp: 30°C with lights on RH: Holding nicely in that humid sweet spot CO₂: Set to 500ppm (passive mostly, no full-on enrichment) Feeding is now solid, color has recovered beautifully, and the buds are starting to form nice stacks. I’ve kept it low-stress — no nets, no heavy training, just letting them do their thing. Observations & Setup Tweaks 🔧 Ventilation: Running the fan at just 30% now. Tent takes 18 seconds to vacuum seal, which tells me airflow is minimal – less CO₂ loss. CO₂ System: Minimal usage at 500 ppm. I’m not going all-out with gas bottles; it’s just there as a buffer. Structure: These Chocolate Haze plants don’t get tall, but they do fill out nicely. Perfect for a space where height is limited. Auto side note: One of the autos in the same tent is way taller, but less dense. Makes me appreciate the Chocolate Haze structure even more. Current Status (April 17) 📆 We’re deep into flower now — week 5, and it shows. Buds are swelling and resin production is kicking in. Nothing major to report (which is kind of the point of this grow — set and forget). Just a slight dry issue with one auto, which I adjusted on the Blumats. Besides that? Happy plants, happy grower. 🌞 Check the latest pics — they speak for themselves. Final Thoughts (So Far) 💭 This Chocolate Haze grow has been chill, efficient, and surprisingly hands-off. The direct 12/12 schedule really works when you're going for a fast cycle with minimal hassle. And even though I’m usually more into hybrids, this sativa-dominant lady is winning me over — the structure, the vigor, the smell… mmm. Now we wait for the real magic — the last few weeks of flower. Trichomes incoming. 🍫✨ Stay tuned for harvest updates — it’s gonna be sweet. Feel free to drop any questions or thoughts. Always happy to share the love for the plant. 💚 Peace

Appoldro420 Yo growers! 🌱 Today marks day 83 and the ladies are cruising along nicely! Other than removing a few crispy leaves here and there, there hasn’t been much to do lately. They're healthy, the tent is packed wall-to-wall, and the buds are stacking up beautifully. I noticed some light crisping on the top leaves, probably from a bit too much light intensity. No real damage though – the buds are loving it and are absolutely covered in a thick layer of trichomes. Full-on frost mode! ❄️ Right now, the CO₂ is still running at 1000 PPM. My plan is to start tapering it down to 800 PPM next week, and then lower it further to 600 PPM during the flush phase to keep everything on point. As for the aroma... it's insane! 😅 Sweetness fills the tent, but there's definitely that classic haze funk too – you know, that "cat piss" note everyone talks about. I don't personally pick up the chocolate vibe breeders often mention, but I’d describe it more like sweet coffee with milk and sugar. Either way, it's absolutely overwhelming (in the best way)! Stickiness is on another level as well. Removing just a few fan leaves guarantees you’ll need a serious hand-wash session afterwards. Normally my runs finish around day 96, but this Chocolate Haze looks like she'll need an extra week – pretty typical for a sativa-dominant lady. No rush though: I’m keeping a close eye on the trichomes using a macro lens, aiming for about 20% amber before harvest to hit that perfect mind-body balance. 🔥 Everything's looking frosty, sticky, and super promising. Next update will probably be harvest time – exciting times ahead! 🚀

Appoldro420 Date: May 3, 2025 Strain: Chocolate Haze (Sativa-dominant) Day 87 from seed / approx. Day 70 of flowering 📝 General Status We're now at Day 87 from seed, with flowering well into week 10. Buds are looking frosty and stacked, coated in a thick layer of trichomes. Pistils are mostly orange and starting to curl in — classic signs we're entering the harvest window. 🔬 Trichome Check Trichome color: ~85% cloudy, 10% clear, 5% amber Conclusion: Right at the beginning of the ideal harvest window for an energetic, cerebral high. 🌸 Pistil Development Around 70–80% of pistils are orange/brown and curling in. Some white hairs remain, but they're pulling back into the buds nicely. 💧 Feeding & Flush Last nutrients: Stopped feeding today. Flush status: Currently flushing with plain water. Leaves are starting to fade — a good sign that she's using up internal reserves. 📸 Observations (See Photos) Excellent trichome coverage on both sugar leaves and bud surfaces. Cola structure looks solid with nice vertical growth. Slight leaf yellowing from flush — just as expected. ⏳ What's Next? We're officially in the final stretch. Harvest is expected within 3 to 5 days, depending on trichome development and desired effect. Monitoring daily with a 60x loupe to catch that perfect window. 🔥 Next Update: HARVEST! Scissors are ready, jars are prepped, and the drying space is dialed in. Chocolate Haze is nearly ready to shine. Stay tuned for sticky fingers and terpene explosions! 🍫💨

Strain Review – Chocolate Haze (RQS) Genetics: Chocolate Haze by Royal Queen Seeds Light cycle: 12/12 from seed Grow medium: 100% coco, automated Blumat system Environment: Sensor-driven GGS setup with CO₂ enrichment From the very beginning, Chocolate Haze showed strong, consistent growth. Even under a 12/12 light cycle from seed, these girls thrived — a clear sign of robust, adaptable genetics. The plants responded beautifully to controlled CO₂ levels and showed excellent vigor throughout veg and bloom. The flowers developed with dense structure and impressive resin coverage, accompanied by a rich, sweet aroma that really lives up to the name. Notes of earthy cocoa, sweet citrus, and a touch of haze complexity come through loud and clear, even during mid-bloom. Despite a bit more leaf in the buds than ideal (which I’ll fine-tune next round with light intensity and DLI management), the structure remained open enough to avoid mold and handled high humidity well. Trichome production was off the charts, and the terpene profile filled the tent with a warm, chocolatey haze that made every check-in a treat. The high is energetic and uplifting — classic sativa with a euphoric edge and a surprisingly smooth comedown. Great for daytime, creative sessions, or just vibing out with music. Final verdict: Chocolate Haze is a top-tier sativa that performs incredibly well in a dialed-in setup. Stable genetics, great yield potential, and one of the most pleasant terp profiles I’ve grown in a while. Can’t wait to run this strain again — next time with even tighter environmental control thanks to my ChatGPT-powered grow plan Highly recommended to anyone looking for flavor, energy, and production — all in one plant.

Appoldro420 Today I’ll be chopping the first two Chocolate Haze ladies — they’re clearly ripe and ready. The others will follow gradually throughout the week, depending on how their ripening progresses. I’m pretty happy with how things are looking so far: healthy plants, good structure, and promising density. That said, I’m hoping for less leaf in the buds next round, especially now that I’ll be running a grow fully guided by ChatGPT — adjusting light intensity and climate control more precisely throughout the bloom phase. Can’t wait to see how the dried weight turns out! Final results and smoke report coming soon 🍫🔥
