Steady growth, starting to get little bud formations. Had to defoliate quite a bit off of the Northern Lights as she had some huge leaves blocking bud sites. Did a little defoliation on the other 2 but trying to keep it as natural as possible.
Hi Jesse, your plants are looking great! I don't know whether I can really compare my plants to yours, as yours grow on hydro and mine in soil, but I have some questions that might improve my grow. :)
You said in your comment of 2 days ago that they show a cal-mag deficiency; how do you see something like that? I received a cal-mag solution as a freebie with my soil but I was advised to not add nutrients to autoflowers as they "don't need that, they grow fast enough already and any increase will burn them".
Your set-up makes me think that you have enough expertise though to also add something on this hahah.
@SlimShimey, Hi! Thanks for viewing my diary! I noticed the deficiency when my leaves started to show little orange spots that turned brown, which usually means a calcium deficiency. When growing in soil the soil naturally has nutrients for the plants so it’s not completely necessary to add any nutrients to soil. However with hydro there are no nutrients in the water so it is a must to add your own. Calcium deficiencies are super common in hydro.. so I added a little cal-mag and the brown spots are slowing down. If your plants had a cal-mag deficiency you would definitely know it, the leaves make it very obvious. :)
@Puffer_Bill, Thank you! Not too bad actually. The hardest part has been having to keep moving my light up because the Northern Lights is insanely tall, lol.
Everyone looks amazing. Always love watching auto hydro grows. So tough but so rewarding! Got my first few DWC buckets for my next grow. Anyways, Keep doing what your doing and best of luck with the rest of the grow.
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a Northern Lights Auto myself. Got about 63 grams off her. I wish you the same success
Good luck with the rest of your grow.
