Mango Sorbet - Mephisto Genetics - Organic Indoor Run
Composition of the growing medium:
This time I want to use less humus and more perlite. This time the BioBizz light mix will form the basis for my soil
I used BioBizz light mix as the base soil, which I enriched with approx. 1 liter of Worms humus from BioBizz and approx. 2 liters of perlite. Before filling in the soil, I spread a layer of expanded clay for plants on the bottom to improve drainage. I use thick 8-liter fabric pots for both plants in this grow. I also mixed 25 grams of Silicium Flash and 35 grams of Startrex from Biotabs into the main part of the soil. In the upper part of the soil, I mixed in a little less BioBizz soil and some seedling soil instead. I enriched this with 10g Startrex and 3g Mycotrex and then divided it between the two pots. I added another 2g of Mycotrex to the planting holes.
planned fertilization scheme:
Due to the known sensitivity to Nitrogen, I will only use one of the BioTabs and place this deeper into the medium. Later I want to add the BioBizz fertilizers.
As I have not added the fertilizer tablets directly to the grow medium, I do not yet know whether I will do this later.
The Mango Sorbet plant showed strong growth after the light intensity was increased to 200 PPFD. It now seems to concentrate on leaf growth and stretches less than before. After a further increase in light intensity to 250-270 PPFD, the plant continued to grow fast. To promote uniform growth, the plant was rotated 180 degrees.
I also watered the plant with approx. 100 ml of Bactrex water. (concentration: 1g/l) Otherwise the plant was only given tap water.
The watering behavior was gradually adapted. At first, a smaller amount of water mixed with fertilizer (bio heaven, 150ml @0.7ml/l) was used and distributed over the entire surface of the soil. Later, the amount of water was increased and nematodes were used against fungus gnats. The amount of watering was increased again and should be maintained until the soil dries more quickly again. It is planned to start watering from below soon.
The light intensity was initially increased (to about 330 PPFD). Some time later there was an incident: the lamp was accidentally set higher and, as the timer was deactivated, the plants had continuous light for a few days. The timer was then reactivated. The plants are recovering from this lighting error. One of the plants is growing well, while another is lagging behind somewhat.
Mango Sorbet was watered several times, once with additives of Bio Heaven and Activera, another time with Bio Heaven and Fish Mix.
The plant was repositioned and the lamp lowered (about 60 cm away, level 5, about 475 to 500 PPFD).
Mango Sorbet quickly used up the 500ml of water and was given additional pure water.
The plant is 20 cm tall and growing very quickly.
