Hello. This is the start of this LemonPaya Diary.
Won 3rd place in the Oct. (I think) Diary of the Month and they sent some prizes
5 packages of seeds - 3 packages of rolling papers - a grinder and a large tray for rolling on.
I'm not interested in auto plants so I asked for their new photoperiod seeds.
I sent my friend 2 packages of seeds. He's ChuckWagon420 and he's started his packages and diaries. so check him out too.
Thought I'd try these in the greenhouse this summer and now is the time to start them.
The seed description said they are very mold and disease resistant. Hopefully pest resistant too.
Hopefully I'll get them in the greenhouse in early April (weather providing).
My cloning cupboards are full, so I'm starting these seedlings in this tent that's in veg for the next few weeks.
Ok. Have Fun.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of the germination phase, on to week 1.
Made some room and now these plantlets have their own space.
They are not growing so fast in the cold garage, but there's a heater in the tent to keep them warmer.
It's about 22c in the tent when the light is on.
I'll dig out a old underground comic book to show you pictures of, next time.
I'll add a little liquefied seaweed to the next watering. Good for stress and the roots love it.
Ok. Be Cool.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the beginning of week 2 of veg.
Quite week for these seedlings.
They had a good feed of liquefied seaweed with some friendly fungus and microbes added.
They've all filled out their first and second set of leaves and are working on their 3rd set now.
OK. Be Cool.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3 of veg.
Found some white marks on a couple of plants, so I thought I would spray some End All by Safer's to get rid of the Thrips I thought made the marks.
But the plants don't like the magnesium salts in the End All and some of the leaves turned a little yellow.
Got some predatory mites for the soil and for the canopy so I had to wash the plants to get rid of as much of the End All residue as I could.
This combination of mites is supposed to get rid of the thrips high (in the canopy)and low (in the soil). The mites will also attack fungus gnat larva too.
So I'm hoping they will look better next time you look in
OK. Be Great.
Chuck.
Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4 of veg.
These plants are looking sooo much better than last week. Got some color back and put out a new leaf set.
Yeah, The plants sure don't like the End All by Safer's that I sprayed on them a couple of weeks ago for pests.
Lightly rubbed a leaf and got a good cannabis smell from my fingers. I'm liking that. Means to me, these plant will have a big smell.
I'm not liking that I have to reenter my nutrients each week. I may not do that each week in the future.
OK. Have Fun.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of veg.
The plant are looking good and everybody got fed right after these pictures.
The stocks are strong enough to hold themselves up now and I'll be taking the copper supports off.
Going to put another tray in here this week to give them a little more room to grow.
Turned up my Viper Spectra Light from 25% to 50%. That should help them to take off.
Going to have to watch them and see their reaction to that. Don't want to burn them.
Thinking about topping them soon. They are going in the greenhouse in a SCRoG set up out there.
So will need to be topped and trained. Still to cold to get them out there. But soon... I hope.
OK. Keep Growing Strait.
Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6 of veg.
Plants are doing good and look healthy.
Still to cold at night to get these girls out in the greenhouse but I will get these plants into 1 gallon pots by next week.
Starting a new/old comic to entertain you while your here. I've hidden other comic books in my other diaries. Have a look.
It's Weirdo. Printed in 1993. This is #8. Yeah, and like the title, it's got some weird/strange comics in it.
I think you'll like it.
OK. Have Fun Out There.

Need A Button That Says... Same As Last Week. 2.642 mll
Hello This is the end of the 6 week and the start of the 7 week of veg.
I was too busy to report last week. I was cleaning up the greenhouse in preparation for these plants.
Thought I would get rid of the conch I was using. It's the white garden cloth I had hanging up on the inside for more privacy.
It was getting dirty. So I wanted to try the privacy window film. Been putting that up. Hope it lets in enough light.
Topped these plants in preparation for the SCRoG training they will get out in the greenhouse.
Still a little to cold for these plants to be in the greenhouse over night. It's been getting down to 6 or 8 at night, and with the heat on inside the tent inside the greenhouse it's been around 14 or 16 in the tent when I check in in the morning. Still a little to cold for these little plants. I'll wait another week before transplanting them out there.
OK. Be Great, Do Good, Out There.
Chuck.
End of week 9 and the beginning of week 10 of veg.
Got them outside... A bit late this year because of the weather. Cold nights.
I put a heat sink in there this year to help keep the temp up at nights.
40 gallons of water is under the table. 8 - 5 gallon containers.
I'll get them out of there when the weather gets warmer at night.
The plants sure look happier in the last pictures that were taken this morning.
The soil is 5 gallons of Sunshine Mix #4 (70% Moss) and 5 gallons of compost out of my composters, and mixed them.
When I transplanted the plants I surrounded the root balls in the Sunshine mix that has neutral ph, so the roots will grow into the compost and not get burnt by the hot soil right next to the root ball. I added another 3 gallons of Sunshine mix to do that, and to top dress and fill the pots. All the plants have about the same amount of soil in their new pots.
Just rain water for now. There is lots of food for them when the roots get to the compost mix.
OK. Be Cool.
Chuck.
Thanks for the great prizes!!!
These are greenhouse bound. Got 6 spots out there and these will take up 3 of those.
With a 10x10 tent inside the greenhouse, I hope to be finished by August 10th or so.
Seed description sound great! Can't Wait...
@GERGrowDesigns, Hi Buddy Good to meet you. Yeah. I worked for The District of... for 35 years and one of my jobs, did it for more that 10 years, was to do bus shelter maintainace and pick up the litter bins when there was no repairs. They were replacing some of the older aluminum and glass shelters, when the big engineer comes out to talk to me. I ask what they are going to do with the old panels, they were going to get scrape prices for the aluminum, so I said I'll take 16 tall panels for a greenhouse. I thought they would make me pay for them, but they just gave them to me. So I poured a cement pad and got a local greenhouse co. to make a roof for around a 5 thousand bucks. So I have a 12 x 20 foot greenhouse for the price of the cement and the roof. Grew cactus in it for 10 years or so, till cannabis went legal in Canada. Now I've got a medical license and grow 6 plants out there, but am concerned about the rental houses so I've put up privacy film and plastic so they can't see in but the light can get in. I can get around 2 K at harvest time. Thanks for asking. Chuck.
