My last god's gift was a no go when all my seedlings came to an end when I went to work in Switzerland for a couple of weeks. So I decided to drop another god's gift straight into one of my lucky 200ml coloured pots and she made a shoot within 3 days. I was quite impressed with this.
She's been sitting under my B60 for a few days now and she has managed to make some roots to the base of the pot so I will get her into her 11l airpot tomorrow..
She looks so sad in the pics. I realised I was only giving her 8dli in a 24hr period. Temps were at 25c and Rh at 71%. . I have since pushed the light a little to give her 14 dli in a 24hr. Once she is repotted I will go to an 18/6 at around 15 dli adjusting as needed.
I transplanted the god's gift into an 11l airpot which had a mix of 50% peat free biobizz light mix and 50% perlite. To this I mixed in well 50g of Startrex which is an organic soil improver .
I made a hole the size of my starter pot and sprinkled in 5g of mycrotrx. This blend of 9 species of Endo Mycorrhiza spores Contains Beneficial Rhizo Bacteria, Seaweed meal & Humic acid and is supposed to be great for root development.
Once potted up I gave 1l of water with a 5ml dose of orgatrex and 1g of bactrex mixed in. I was supposed to do the just add water method and misread the guide.. there was no need for orgatrex in this first watering and I think I have burned the plant a little along with the stress of a transplant . Not a huge deal just some burn on the first leaf set. From now I will follow the just add water method. No need to ph balance or check ec..... Just pour tap water in.. I'm excited to see the results.
Oh of course I also put 2 biotabs 5cm down into the pot. One either side of the plant..😜
Let's see how these tabs work . It's my first run with this new sponsor so I am expecting some curve balls along the way.
I mixed up 100ml of boom boom spray to give the poor thing a rejuvenation. I had a foliar in my arsenal from my last nite sponsor which was just so good for situations like this. I hope the boom boom has similar effects. 100ml mixed with 0.5ml of boom boom..👍🏼🤞🏼
A nice week of growth for the god's gift. She's over her stresses of the repot and is flourishing.
Just adding tap water. So cool..
The lightmox must have another couple of days worth of nutrients left and then it's just the biotabs.
So far so good we will see in the coming weeks. I have to go to Barcelona for work for 10 days but my wife will keep the plants wet and the rest is automated..🤞🏼🤞🏼
It's been a good week of growth while I've been away. The biotabs just add water seems to be working a treat. All that she has had from my wife is 1l of tap water when needed. No buffering no mixing. Just straight out the tap a quick temp check and then in.
If this keeps up then I'm converted and will never mix another feed again.😂🤪
I've got to go away again tomorrow for another week bit with this schedule I'm confident my wife will keep God's gift going.
She was topped 4 days ago and reached about 26cm. Her side branches were growing out and she looked like she was going to go for being a tall one. So I snapped her limbs tied her down and will now wait a few days for her branches to right themselves before I adjust her bondage ropes I have snaps on every branch as she is very strong and groups with vigour.
Temps have been raised a bit to 24c and Rh sits about 50-53%.
Still just getting untreated tapwater.
I have spent the week bending and tightening all the bondage straps to maintain the even canopy I'm after and allow for maximum footprint. I expect during this week she will get a net slung over her as I am running out of pot circumference to keep using ties. I need to work it all outwards now .
She got a spray of boom boom spray this week after the heaviest HST session. It's a
Foliar biostimulant that helps the plant recover from stress.. mixed 100ml to 0.5ml of boom spray and applied at lights on
Still feeding just plain untreated tap water. About 1l a day ATM.
Lights are at 60% and environmental figures are spot on.
This is a super healthy plant . I am very very impressed with biotabs as a product. So easy ..
Another good week of growth. She had some defoliation and I now undeba net for another week before flip.
She has just water still but during the week she was given 1g of bactrex in 1l of water to top up the substrate biology.
The net ha been remade and I decided to scrog her as I have some quite serious bends in som branches anbas she stretches I will need to support the weight so that why I've done that..
This the last week of veg for me god's gift. She has spread out and is stable in this shape so now I will let her stretch to not the spaces I've made.
Still getting water only .
Lights have been pushed to 65%
Vpd is at 1.05.
All seems fine for now.
