I had a slow start due to rookie error. I had both my lights on, which proved to be way too much for my little seedling. I turned one off, which made the world of difference.
So, I'm trying something that I haven't seen before. I'm going to end up with 12 colas, 4 in the middle and 8 around the outside. Let's see what happens......
I'm hoping that this will be my last week of veg. I'm pretty happy with the way things are going so far. It has been a long veg period, but I did make some rookie errors in the beginning which definitely set me back at least a few weeks.
Flower time! I'm very curious to see how much she is going to stretch. I will be updating her height from now on. I have added two small dehumidifiers to my tent to try and get the humidity into the 40's. I'm holding thumbs that they will be effective enough, it's a small tent so I am hopeful.
Into the second week of flower. She healthy as can be and starting to stretch. She stretched about 6cm last week, but I'm sure there's more to come.
I'm just letting her do her thing at this point.
Week 3 of flower, and I am pretty happy where she is at the moment. Last night I decided to do some final LST in order to flatten her out and get some much needed light to the lower nodes. She's looking super healthy and she stretching at a good rate. I'm excited to see how she develops from here.
So we're into week 4 of flower and she's really starting to gather pace now. She really healthy and putting out pistils all over the place. I'm just sitting back and letting her do her thing at this point.
Week 5 of flower and everything seems to be going okay. I'm a bit concerned about the high humidity, but I don't think this strain is going to be too affected by it given it's origin. I have good airflow in my tent which should hold off any potential mould. Other than that there is not much to say. I'm happy with where she is at the moment.
Into week 6 of flower. I did a bit of defoliation to get more light to the lower bud sites. She's starting to smell very tropical. More of the same this week.
The weeks are flying by, into week 7 of flower, at least 3 more to go. I did the last bit of defoliation and some miner LST to make sure that I get light down to the lower bud sites. Shes looking good and smelling even better. I'm sure she is going to spend the next 3 weeks packing on weight.
She's getting there. Into week 8 of flower and she's definitely packing on the weight. Not too much to report. I'm just sitting back and letting her do her thing.
She's getting close! Into week 9 of flower. She's definitely packing on the weight and she is super resinous. I'm going to start the flush now. I think I'm going to give her 2 more weeks and then its chop time. The buds are looking beautifully dense and delicious. Can't wait to smoke one.
Finally into the last week of flower. It's been a long road, but the end is near and I couldn't be more excited. She has definitely bulked up over the last couple of weeks. The trichomes are milky with a few Amber's showing. I am busy flushing. I'm going to put her into 48 hours of darkness before I chop. Wish me luck.
Apologies for the delayed update. The grow goes on.... I was planning on harvesting last week, but I decided to let her go a little bit longer because she is packing on some good weight and the trichomes are still milky with hardly any amber. I think I'm going to let it go one more week. The flush is starting to take effect now. The leaves are start to change colour.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the outcome of this grow given that it was my first ever grow. I definitely made lots of mistakes, which I think seriously affected my yield, but the quality is definitely there. I'm definitely looking forward to my next grow.
Nice plants! What do your trichomes look like? Been running my MW for 18 weeks total (6 wk veg/12 wk flw) I’m getting a mixture of amber, cloudy, and clear. I’m not sure what’s normal for a sativa. 80% of the hairs are brown already......
@Philindicus, thanks for the advice bud. The trichomes are definitely more on the milky side so I reckon she's on track and only has a couple of weeks to go.
@Dr_Gonzo, I wouldn't go by the recommended flower time go by the trichomes. If they are still clear you can probably feed for one more week. You'll be surprised how much they will bulk up over the next couple of weeks. When you see some 1/2 cloudy trichomes starting then start to flush 10-14 days.
@GrowBeforeHoe, thanks, I'm pretty happy with the way she has turned out considering that it's my first grow and I've made some rookie errors. If it tastes half as good as it smells, then I'll be chuffed.
