nausicaa Grow Diary 2019
These are seeds I bought in 2017 that have been sleeping in the fridge (Ziploc + desiccant).
They have successfully germinated!
It says the LED is 150W, but since I wasn't sure about the wattage, I chose the weakest 150W.
I think it was 3W per bulb, totaling 600W.
After 3 weeks of Veg, I plan to switch to 12/12.
After that, I want to try Reveg โ Clone.
I've reduced the number of photos as of 4/3.
Right now, I'm using Sakata's pots that can be planted directly.
After that, I plan to transplant into plastic pots โ non-woven fabric pots (30X28).
For liquid fertilizer, I will use Menedale's vegetable liquid fertilizer (NPK 6-6-6).

nausicaa On March 4th, I saw roots coming out of the pot, so I transplanted it into a plastic pot. I haven't given any nutrients yet. I'm just misting it with water diluted 100 times with Menedale and Liquidus. The herbs in the corner are thyme and others I tried planting, but this seems like it will be harder to grow.
I think next week the leaves will increase, and growth will speed up significantly. I expect to see some marijuana-like leaves, so I think it will be interesting to watch. Feel free to ask questions or leave comments!

nausicaa It didn't grow as big as I thought, haha. I was expecting five leaves to come out, but that's next week. I plan to repot next week as well. I haven't given any liquid fertilizer yet. The light is the same too. I'm using a non-woven fabric pot (30cmX28cm) about 19 liters. Last year I used a 10-liter pot, but it was too small, so I'm going bigger this year.
The stem is shedding and trying to grow bigger. Marijuana sheds! It was quite a shock. It's more like the main body is coming out from inside, like a demon king emerging from a crack? It's amazing how such a small seed can hold such a large amount of energy. March 17th.

nausicaa Since repotting, they have clearly become healthier and bigger. It might have been okay to repot a few days earlier. I think I'll follow the guide that says to switch to a 12/12 light cycle when they reach half the desired height. So, Iโll stick with 18/6 for next week. Since I just repotted, I think I'll hold off on the liquid fertilizer for now.
The areas where I sprayed Pentagarden at 100 times and Liquidus at 200 times are looking very healthy. Any advice, questions, or comments are welcome!

nausicaa I watered and gave liquid fertilizer diluted 1000 times on the 29th.
The length is about 12cm.
B is a little bigger, but there's not much difference.
I started LST.
It looks a bit sad, though...
In the grow guide, it said to switch to 12/12 when it reaches half the desired height, so I think I'll keep it in veg for a bit longer before switching to 12/12.
So next week, I'll stick with 18/6.

nausicaa When I look at it on my smartphone, there are too many photos, so I'm going to reduce them. 4/3 (Wed)
It's lying down, but it's about 20cm tall. Maybe a little more?
I'm wondering if I should keep it in the veg stage for another week.
I might transition to 12/12 (flowering) starting next week.
What should I do? I'm really thinking about it...
I'll check out other people's grows and think it over.

nausicaa April 11
On sunny days, Iโm giving them some sunlight.
I think itโs about time to switch to 12/12.
Maybe I did a bit too much LST? I hope itโs okay.
The liquid fertilizer is at 1000 times, and the Liquidus is at 100 times.
I really think you can grow just fine with stuff sold at Japanese home centers.
Iโll write again.
April 14
Itโs gotten a bit cramped. I regret only having one plant.
But then I remembered that I was originally trying to grow 12/12 from seed.
However, I learned that itโs better to switch after 3 weeks of veg instead of starting with 12/12, so I changed my plan.
Maybe about 2 more weeks? I definitely vegged too long...
It looks like itโs going to be a battle with space. I might need to prepare another spot.
Iโm using CFLs (compact fluorescent lamps). Two of each, 100W and 60W.
The 100W is daylight color, and the 60W is warm white.
Starting next week, Iโll switch to 12/12. I hope they bloom safely!

nausicaa I watered them and gave them liquid fertilizer (Menedaale vegetable liquid fertilizer diluted 1000 times) and Likidas (1 cap per 2L, probably 100 times?). The Veg phase was definitely long... they're huge... I wanted to harvest at this size!!! White little squiggles are coming out, but is this a sign of successful flowering?! April 19 (Friday)
They got really cramped, so I moved them to a bigger space. They're about 40cm tall, but since I bent them, the total length is probably around 60cm. I think the good weather helped, but they're drinking water really fast!! Flashing (flushing) this is going to be hard work... But I added Maguamp K as base fertilizer, so can I really flush? Maybe I shouldn't have added the base fertilizer...? For now, the little squiggles are increasing safely, so I think they're flowering. April 21 (Sunday)

nausicaa They bloomed nicely. What a relief.
I'm using liquid fertilizer at 1000 times again this time. For Likidas, it's one capful (probably 100 times) in a 2L PET bottle.
I'm not using tap water; I'm going to get spring water.
It seems like they won't grow any taller. There hasn't been much change since last week.
However, they're big now, and it's a hassle to move them outside, so it looks like I'll be keeping them indoors from here on.
If it's better to give the buds some sunlight, I might try harder.
I'll write again. Hope I can produce something good ๐

nausicaa It's been blooming quite a bit, but there's still no smell. Watering once a week has become insufficient. I added only Liquidus to the water without any liquid fertilizer. "Dilution is justice" - this is a lesson I learned last year, so I'll be careful not to overdo the liquid fertilizer. It said that Magamp K (medium grain) is effective for a year, so I don't think I'll run into a shortage of nutrients. I'll write again. April 30.
I think it's blooming smoothly. However, I'm worried because when I look at other grows, they seem to be trimming the lower parts and focusing on the tops. I have a feeling that if I trim, it won't be good since I want to reveg and try cloning afterward. Should I trim one of A or B? What should I do? I think I'll ponder it a bit. The liquid fertilizer is diluted 1000 times. I gave it along with Liquidus. May 3.

nausicaa Tuesday, I watered because the leaves were drooping.
I think they'll be perked up by tomorrow.
This time, I'm just using water without adding Liquidus. I've heard that Liquidus is good to use once a week.
Also, the flowers are starting to show some orange color.
I believe this is where the buds will start to grow, but should I reconsider the liquid fertilizer?
Right now, I'm using Menedale vegetable liquid fertilizer (NPK 6-6-6) and the base fertilizer Magamp K medium grain.
I'm scared of doing something unnecessary that could cause damage, so I might just stick with this for now?
I'll write again.
May 7
Pruning? Trimming? I did some trimming!
I cut off the lower parts that don't get much light to concentrate the nutrients upwards.
I've heard it's better to do this before flowering, but I hesitated a bit.
I might be able to trim a little more, but I'm a bit scared, so I'll take it slow and see how it goes.
May 9
Watering and liquid fertilizer. This time it's also 1000 times diluted, and the liquid fertilizer is the same "Menedale vegetable liquid fertilizer."
I added one cap of Liquidus to 2 liters of water.
There aren't any noticeable changes. Maybe there's a slightly sweet smell? Or is it just my imagination?
It seems like the white flowers are coming out, then the orange, and then back to the white flowers repeatedly.
Looking at other people's grows, it seems like harvest is about a month away. I'm really looking forward to it ๐

nausicaa May 12, Saturday
I noticed that spider mites had appeared โ Panic...
That's because I lost everything to them in 2017.
I took the plants to the bathroom and rinsed them off in the shower.
At that time, I can't clearly remember if the hot water came out or if the water pressure was too strong, but as you can see, there was incredible damage done.
On top of that, my computer broke, and I completely lost my motivation.
At this point, I was thinking, "Maybe I should just give up."
I'm writing this on May 31, haha.
I finally got a new computer.

nausicaa I'm continuing to grow with a mindset of "it'll work out somehow, right?" I'm being meticulous with the misting and checking the undersides of the leaves. I just want to produce enough to share a little bit.
On the 24th, I took various photos. I guess I'm looking for hope, haha. If all goes well, the top should be really beautiful. I'll do my best next time.

nausicaa On May 27th, since WW has been in flowering for 8 weeks, I'm going to do a flush (stop feeding nutrients). Just one more week!! After that, I plan to harvest while checking the trichomes. I want to aim for about 20% amber. As of May 31st, there are still some clear ones, and the cloudy ones are increasing. It's a shame I can't take any photos. I think I'm going to get some equipment.

nausicaa I forgot to weigh the total weight before drying.
The smell still feels like fresh-cut grass lol, and there's also a citrusy scent.
I'll write more once it's dried.
The next batch is already germinating, so I'll tweet the link again.
Now that the drying is done, I cut it from the branches and packed it into jars.
They say to put in a Boveda 62% pack and let it cure for about a week to two weeks while replacing the air.
Ahhh, it's going to be a long wait lol.
Next time, I want to make something even better and harvest a lot!
