After 5 years of not growing and watching the cannabis market in change drastically. I decided to try new techniques and get my hands on some top shelf auto genetics. I heard about an 8week full cycle auto from FastBuds, heigh yields, rock hard nugs and flipping good smok. I became damn curious. I have grown some monster auto's in the past but 8weeks WTF!! So here we are, Ganga Grape Fruit is at it again! Follow along and ill do my best to walk you through the entire journey. I am not lab expert but the amateurs expert! An old traditional grower smoking in new waters!
First week since these seedlings broke ground. They look super healthy and already "praying". I have a trick with high humidty for firstb5 days then gradually decrease to the common 70%. Of course keeping proper airflow is important and ensuring a clean environment to reduce the chances of mold or damping off. I do however encourage white fuzzy mold as this is the myco going it's thing. Don't be scared if you see this BUT if you see grey looking mold or green algae then you should reduce your humidity and possibly look at using hydrogen peroxide or dry the soil out. These seedlings have given me no issues, stems have been a vibrant green since sporut showing good ph and conditions in the growing environment and red or purple like stems (keep in mind some genetics will show purple stems, as long as there is no stunted growth you good). I keep temps at 26c for the full veg. I will start feeding in week 2 and I like to keep things organic as living soil makes a huge difference in my opinion but I am no hydro grower. FreedomFarms classic organic helps keep ph at bay and the myco added will help nutrients absorption this week coming. Lights are set to 25% and I have a PPFD of 330 for the first 5 days then slowly start increasing to 400 by day 7 to ensure they acclimate to higher light density as I love to push this to 1000 during flower. Also by the end of week 1 with myco in living soil the roots are now ready the help with photosynthesis and less water uptake through humidity. So why not give them a boost. I use air pots as well and these really help with aeration and encourage better root development and water drainage. To say the least I am expecting a fairly large plant but 8week full cycle with this strain will be interesting to see the final veg size before pre flower stretch. The veg cycle is going to be critical as one slip up will affect growth and final yield if this is truly a full 8week cycle. I can say good genetics are showing with FastBuds.
Got questions pop them in the comments. Remeber it's 420 somewhere ;)
Gave these ladies their first water, BioBizz Grow and a bit of my own secret formula that iv perfected over a few years for auto's! 250ml each plant. They are autoflowers I do not do any form of LST, once they mature and just before stretch, I will do a VERY lite defoliation of larger leaves and snip the first node branches, as these branches don't develop into much and use potential energy. PPFD I moved up slowly to 600. They will stay in this range for next 2 weeks, excepting pre flower to shoot in week 4.
Lovely genetics thus far @fastbuds.
FYI I can see the purple pheno starting to slowly creep in already on the stems.
The ladies are looking good. Not as much vertical growth as I would have wanted but at 36cm it's not bad for week 3. I am hoping the early flower stretch will bring them around 60 to 70cm in height. I started doing some defoliation of large fam leaves that block light to lower branches. Yes I know this is not reccomended for auto's but it makes a huge difference if done right! Healthy, stable environment and they bounced back within 24hr. I did make a rookie error and cut off a damn side branch at node 4 (I just lost a few grams haha) but plants are at node 7 after 3weeks. Also pre flower has started and my fuck the pistils are long! Pre flower came sooner than expected as well. Here's to the next 2 weeks of stretch and bud clusters to start forming! Cheers
Week 4 in the bag. It's been a great month no issues the plants are now stretching like mad. PPFD now moved to the 1000 range at top canopy, temps I am keeping consistent. The living soil is now in full swing and myco is doing it's thing well. Tent is going to be too small haha but hey great problem to have! Purple is starting to show on the preflower calyx so I hope the purple bud of all purple bud does shine through with this phenos! I started feeding with ever water now and will continue to defoliate. Still no lst at all. Here's two the next 7 days! Really exciting grow on this strain thus
@Fast_Buds, damn huge for week 2, going into week 3. Impressive genetics thus far guys! What "F" is this strain on seeing it is fairly new? Explosive growth for 2 weeks and both ladies doing great 👍
