4x Gorilla Cookies Auto // Living Soil by couple of plants de // Indoor
All Seeds germinated, but unfortunately the seed which seemed the most promising due to having the longest root while still being in water, turned out to have a problem removing the shell from the seed. after a day i carefully helped remove it, but it was "too late". The one cotyledon leaf which you see on the pic was dying and orange. so to avoid rotting or something, i carefully removed it.
Ironically, the one seed, which i wanted to run as an "nice to have" experiment, is the biggest so far. Its in the small plastic pot and its also not Living Soil, this is just Biobizz Lightmix which i had left since a few months from my first grow. It seems very moist so we will just see how the little fella will develop.
Not much happened, besides me spreading clover seeds as recommended by the Person i bought the living soil from. Ideally, they would be spread like 2 weeks before the weed seeds come into the soil, but its no problem to do it now. I just fear theres not enough moisture for most of them to sprout well. Tried to keep the top layer moist for that. Pics are from today (26.02.2025) so the fellas are about 4/5 days old. How are they doing, according to your opinion? Would love to hear it.
The Gorilla Cookies Auto in the small plastic pot with the leftover Light mix is still the biggest, and its interesting to see that they are gradually getting bigger from pot to pot, even though they are all the same age, 13 days in the pictures. I would wish for the 2 smaller ones in the living soil to be bigger for their age but maybe the 3 in the living soil are still spending most time developing under the surface, by focusing on the roots for now. but the smallest one im really curious how he will manage, because in nature he wouldnt have survived, because he was not strong enough to get rid of his seed shell on his own. Now writing this on Snday the 9th, they are on Day 15 and two of the literally have their first pistils. This makes me nervous in a bad way since i really hope they will stretch alot in the next 2-3 weeks. those two are now into pre flower about one week earlier than the gorilla cookies from my first grow.
Light is at 60% and put it further up now because i am not sure if the bright tips are from a watering problem or nutrients or light.
They started on the top of the plant, but the plants are not turning the edge of the leafs upwards, rather down if any, just the end of the tip. other than that they seem largely healthy to me. Do you know what it could be?
The plastic pot one in the light mix is still the biggest, and is just barely has pistils, while the two of three in the 25l living soil are basically in flower...
I hope they will stretch more else it will not be alot of harvest, which would piss me off tbh,
But i will try to stay optimistic. One has a longer internodial spacing and the other is shorter more dense with bud sites so far. and the smallest "Johnny Silverhand" is well... small... but i wanna see how he will end up, i threw away the idea of changing him with another by now i think. i will just start with photoperiods next time and learn what i can learn here.
Maybe im also too pessimistic and they are quiet nice for their age idk. But my Gorilla Cookies from last year was definetly bigger at the same age.
Nothing new to report but that the brightening of the tips is getting worse and worse.
The 3 in the living soil are still not drinking much but the one in the plastic soil wants 500ml eery 2 days minimum. The 25l pots only got like 200-300kml every 2-3 days from me because the bottom was wet for many days while the midsection and top more dry so i was hesitent to put in more.
the plastic pot one is still just showing a few pistils while the other two are going hard already fml haha. Please grow tallerrrrr.
Im already not doing LST in hopes the less stress lets them release their potential better but hmm...
Besides that they look good in my opinion.
