Dmars 2/22 Two seeds put in paper towel 2/23 Two 3-gallon fabric pots were filled up with leftover 70/30 mix. Unfortunately, it was swarmed with fungus gnats, so after filling up both pots I mixed up my seedling water with a mega dose of 35% H2O2, a rate of about 2 Tbsp per gallon. I slowly ran about 6 gallons of that through them to kill everything in it and to also do a solid flush. Both seeds were cracked so I added them to their final pots. Lights set to 185 PAR / 12 DLI. 2/26 Both have just sprouted above the coco. Tomorrow will be day 1 of veg.

Dmars 3/18 Day 20 of veg. Growth has been great all around for both. They’re just about at 3 full nodes formed so very soon will be the day to top them. I had great results with topping at 3 nodes and then topping each again so I’ll repeat that. That’s 12 tops per plant, and with 2 plants total it makes 24 tops, just the right size for my 3x3. I’ve also transitioned to Canna coco nutes, I wanna see if there’s any difference compared to the old flora trio. Lights adjusted to 290 PAR / 19.1 DLI.

Dmars 3/29 Day 31 of veg. Both were topped a few days ago and now today I did some light LST and defoliation. I was following the normal feed schedule recommended by Canna, but it does seem like it’s a bit much. I’ll try the light feed recipe going forward. Light adjusted to 445 PAR / 28.8 DLI.

Dmars 4/15 Day 48 of veg. Both plants are trained to the extent that they need to flip to flower. I’ll probably give a couple more days just to recover from todays defoliation and then I’ll flip. The fungus gnats have been a lingering issue. Today I added more marble chips up top on both to hopefully block off access to the coco. On top of that I blasted both with a nutrient solution with 35% H2O2 at 15ml/gal. I’ll keep up with manual waterings with that level of H2O2 until I’m confident I’ve killed them all. Lights currently at 490 PAR / 31.8 DLI.

Dmars 4/22 Day 5 of transition. I got the trellis net out finally and started spreading things out. Number 1 on the left is shaping up to be a little shorter than number 2 on the right. I did take a few leaves and some small branches out, hopefully not enough to stress them out too bad. And the fungus gnat invasion does seem to be stopped for the moment. Hand watering with 35% H2O2 at 15ml/gal seems to have taken them out without any adverse effects on both plants. I think I’ll maintain that level for a few more days just to be certain they’re all dead. Lights adjusted to 575 Par / 24.8 DLI.

Dmars 4/27 Day 1 of flower. Both are showing white pistil hairs so I’ll start counting flower as of today. They were getting pretty bushy so I went and did some defoliation and reworked them into the trellis net. I did accidentally supercrop one of the tops while doing that so hopefully it isn’t too much stress to cause a herm. Light at the highest point is now 630 PAR / 27.2 DLI. 5/3 Day 7 of flower. With the humidity getting much higher with spring here I decided to do another round of defoliation to keep things airy and spaced out. The fungus gnats are back in numbers so I’m trying a new approach with the sticky pads. I’m covering the entire top part of the pots to hopefully prevent them from going anywhere. Even if it doesn’t completely wipe them out it should at least keep them away from the buds as they start forming.

Dmars 5/15 Day 19 of flower. I tried hand watering with mosquito bits and no H2O2 for 2 days as my last effort to knock out the fungus gnats. I’ll give it a few days and see how it is. Both plants look excellent. Still getting a little stretch each day, which is fine since I still have some vertical room to spare. Buds are still just getting started but adding mass each day so that’s great. No signs of herm on either which is a huge relief. If I can get the gnats under control this will be a perfect grow so far, everything looks top notch. Lights set to 725 DLI / 31.3 DLI.

Dmars 5/21 Day 25 of flower. The stretch has been finished for a few days now and the buds are bulking up fast now. Both have gotten super thirsty and it’s been a struggle to keep the reservoir from going empty. Runoff EC was up to 2.4 but after adding a bit more time to each watering it’s been slowly dropping, currently at 2.2. That seems perfectly fine to me so I won’t go nuts adding more fertigation events. With stretch finished I basically have my final canopy which does sadly have one extra high top. I’ll try to keep the lights from getting too high for that one which should actually help me control light burn so it’s ok. I estimate light strength across the canopy to average to about 750 PAR / 32.4 DLI. The fungus gnats persist so the only other thing I can do is add another fan to blast the tops of the pots. We’ll see if that at least helps thin them.

Dmars 5/30 Day 36 of flower. I give up on the fungus gnats. With only about a month left for the grow there’s no point in trying to eliminate them anymore, it just is what it is. That aside, everything is going great. Both have bulked buds up to a nice medium size and with lots more growth to come. Both are absolutely caked in frost, and the smell when opening the tent is profound. I could not be more pleased with growth. Pheno 1 is all green with more round buds while pheno 2 has purple accents and more triangular buds. Light at the highest bud on the canopy measures 890 PAR / 38.5 DLI, with the rest of the canopy closer to 850 PAR / 36.7 DLI. 6/4 Day 41 of flower. I installed my AC Infinity Terraform finally, and with the increase in VPD I’m upping the waterings to 4 times a day. I can now hold a consistent 1.3 VPD no matter what the weather is like so hopefully this means an increase in quality. Lights adjusted to 925 PAR / 40 DLI.

Dmars 6/8 Day 45 of flower. Installing the AC Infinity Terraform has let me go from around .8 - 1.0 VPD to a fairly steady 1.3 VPD. I haven’t tested the runoff EC since upping to 4 fertigation events a day but with the amount of water I’m going through, about 6 gallons a day for both plants, it must be more than enough. The buds just keep getting more and more frosty on both, but pheno 1 may be just a little extra frosty. I was hoping for a bit more mass to the buds, but there’s still some time for them to chunk up a tiny bit more. It does look like bud size will end up in the medium category rather than large however. Pheno 1 is smelling like fuel and Jelly Donutz, while pheno 2 is fuel, garlic, and some other form of spice I can’t quite identify. A trichome check for both shows a majority cloudy, some clear, and the very beginnings of some amber starting to appear. I think going right to 60 days should probably do it. Lights remain at 925 PAR / 40 DLI at the highest bud in the canopy. 6/9 Day 46 of flower. After reading a bit more about Canna coco nutrients, something that came up was the idea of allowing a good amount of drying before the next watering. This conflicts with my ideas about coco, which is to basically keep it always wet. I think I’ll meet in the middle with this and go back from 4 fertigations to 3 fertigations a day, keeping 3 as the max amount for all stages of growth. With the AC Infinity Terraform on and running I have a constant stream of warm, dry air circulating around the fabric pots and also a raised VPD when compared to previous grows. This means more air being pushed to the roots and a faster dryback than I am generally used to, so I think just going back to my original ideas without any adjustments for the AC Infinity Terraform will bring me in line with what Canna recommends. I do worry this might result in big spikes to runoff EC but hey, let’s try it out. 6/10 Day 47 of flower. I lowered the VPD setting from 1.3 to 1.1 and lowered the light intensity down to 880 PAR / 38 DLI. Just trying to simulate fall at least a little just because it’s about 2 weeks out from chop.

Sehr schön bald die ersten KFC-Buds😁 zu sehen. Ich bin gespannt wie die neuen Sorten performen. Ich überlege Moon Fog zu bestellen. Viel Glück mit deinem Pheno Growmie.

Very special plant! Can you describe her smell?

@SheyTailfeather, Pheno 1 is very much just like Jelly Donutz, while pheno 2 is much more....strange. Maybe it's that advertised KFC spice smell, but it's hard to tell. I would say something like exotic spices.
