DuschkabinenGrow Starting on 27.02.2025, this grow diary follows the journey of 4 Platinum Mimosa Cookies plants, grown completely vegan. The initial soil mix is carefully crafted with the following ratios: 12 Liters Euflor Zero! Bio Aussaat- und Kräutererde 1 Liters Coco 2 Liter Perlite 40 g Zamnesia Monster Bud Mix 20 g TNC Mykhoriza The pots also include pepples at the bottom for improved drainage. In 2-3 weeks, the best 2 plants will be selected and transplanted into 19-liter containers with living soil. Although listed under Platinum Mimosa Cookies Double XL Autoflower due to availability, this diary showcases the Fast Version. Follow along to see vegan cultivation techniques in action and the search for the top phenotypes! Update 30.03.2025 final soil: For this grow, I'm following a fully vegan and peat-free cultivation approach with a strong focus on quality, yield, and cost-efficiency. Instead of relying on expensive booster products from fertilizer companies, I’ve created a rich, balanced soil mix using the following components: - Seedling soil - Compost soil - Raised bed soil - Perlite - Terra Preta - Leonardite powder - Rock dust (stone meal) - Mycorrhiza - Zamnesia Monster Bud Mix The idea behind this mix is to create a living soil environment that provides a wide range of nutrients and promotes microbial life. I also made sure the pH stays within an optimal range to support healthy nutrient uptake. To supplement the soil, I sourced a canister of liquid kelp from a agricultural shop. While it’s low in NPK, it contains a wide array of beneficial compounds such as: - Amino acids - Enzymes - Cytokinins - Auxins - Gibberellins - Trace minerals - Natural growth stimulants Together with high-quality soil, CalMag, BioBizz Grow/Bloom as the basic nutrients, and the added kelp, this setup provides everything the plant needs—without relying on overpriced boosters. 100% vegan, 100% peat-free, and aimed at delivering top-tier quality with minimal environmental impact.

DuschkabinenGrow The bigger plant seems to be experiencing some stress; the edges of its leaves are curling upwards, and the leaves themselves appear thin. I've now raised the LED significantly higher to prevent potential light stress. The other plants are growing more slowly and have reddish stems, but overall, they look healthy. I'll let the pots dry out properly, adjust the water to the correct pH, and add CalMag along with some seaweed extract nutrients. These small 3-liter pots have made it easy to accidentally overwater. To manage humidity effectively, I've hung a warm, wet towel in the room and set the ventilation to activate once humidity reaches 80%. This method is working exceptionally well. Additionally, the plants always receive slightly warm water, keeping the soil consistently warm. The roots of all the plants have already reached the bottom of their pots.

DuschkabinenGrow Even the healthiest plant is starting to show signs of stress now. Her lowest leaves are turning pale and look much worse than they did in the previous pictures. I'm struggling to identify exactly what's causing the issue, as they seem to have everything they need. The water is properly pH-adjusted, includes CalMag supplementation, and the runoff pH is also within the optimal range. I'm keeping a close eye on this and hope to pinpoint the issue soon.

They are possibly ready for some nitrogen start giving them something meant for veg like fox farm grow big. Also it might be over watering make sure to let the soil get really dry in between water

Hey there the plant looks great so far. It’s honestly all up to you if you want to top again it’s a small tent so maybe top it 1 more time and then let it recover for 2 weeks and grow out a little bit then flip to flower. I would not wait to long b4 flipping to flower because the 1st 3 weeks of flower a plant will strech a lot sometimes a few feet If the plant starts stretching to much and you think it will out grow your tent your can start ramping up the light intensity to smash the internodes closer tog

DuschkabinenGrow I switched to 12/12 a few days ago. It seems like everything is going to be like i imagined. i will defoliate in 2 weeks i guess. she is using much more water now and now i am going to give her many nutrients. EDIT: Guys i think i am an idiot. i believe the problem i have is to much calmag! i shouldn't add it to my water. I produce a huge excess with the rich soil, calmag and my water is also rich in calmag.

DuschkabinenGrow I had to connect the carbon filter—there’s no way around it anymore. The smell has become quite noticeable, with a slightly gassy note and that classic “Cookies” aroma starting to come through. The stretch phase is now complete. I’ve removed all lower growth beneath the SCROG net to focus the plant’s energy on the top canopy. I also did a solid defoliation above the net to improve airflow and light penetration. To allow the plant to continue growing inward and make better use of the available light, I’ve temporarily released the SCROG net. The goal remains to maximize light exposure for peak flower development. Some of the buds in the center have stayed relatively small and didn’t stretch upward with the rest. Anyway, that’s right where the light's hotspot is, so I’m hoping they’ll catch enough light down there.. Overall, things are looking good so far—I’m staying optimistic that this setup will work out as planned.

DuschkabinenGrow She is drinking more and more water. I need to give her at least 3 liters every 2 days. There is nothing much to say this week since everything is working out just nice. The only adjustment i made is that i give her more "bloom" nutrients and the distance for the lamp seems to be best on 26 centimeters.

DuschkabinenGrow The pH of the runoff turned out to be quite high, so I’m trying to bring it down gradually. I used 150% bloom nutrients to correct the phosphorus deficiency and adjusted the pH to 5.8. Edit: I flushed the soil and collected roughly three liters of runoff; there are tiny white swimming creatures in it. ChatGPT suggested these are probably springtails, likely overpopulating because of all the kelp and molasses I added. It also recommended letting the pot dry out significantly and withholding nutrients for the next few waterings to help bring their numbers down.

If you see small, thin white larvae swimming in the runoff after flushing your cannabis plant, it’s most likely fungus gnat larvae or root-knot nematodes. Both can damage the roots and should be taken seriously. Fungus gnat larvae are white with a black head and feed on young roots. Root-knot nematodes are even smaller, transparent, and also harmful. It could also be harmless springtails or beneficial predatory mite larvae — it depends on how they look and move. 👉 What to do: • Avoid overwatering • Use yellow sticky traps or neem oil • In case of heavy infestation: apply beneficial nematodes (e.g., Steinernema feltiae).

DuschkabinenGrow Well, turns out some of the ingredients in my self made soil are really pushing the PH up. I try working against it but i can only hope that she doesn't mind to much. The buds didn't get much bigger. The trichomes looking very nice. The smell got much better and it's sweet, oranges, gassy, cookies mix but not overwhelming. It would be like 1 or 2 weeks until harvest, according to the data provided by growerschoice.

Thank you for all the answers to my question. I am going for a custom approach about nutrients and soil, to cut costs and to meet my requirements. I expected the soil to be well-packed with nutrients, but this is my first try with this new approach, I made a few mistakes. Indeed, there is too much watering. The pots I am now using are very small. Now that she is in a new environment with some light feeding and new soil. I could have probably used NPK feeding earlier, but I really expected the soil to be enough. The roots look really good tho!
